Chilling Diana reference spotted in Meghan and Harry’s Netflix doc as prince reveals fears ‘history will repeat itself’
A CHILLING reference to Princess Diana has been spotted in the trailer for the Sussexes' new Netflix series.
The clip features a number of very direct references to the 'People's Princess' but one moment in particular seems to refer to a terrifying theme.

About half way through, there is a brief shot out the back window of a car, showing another vehicle seemingly following it.
As this is shown, the Duchess' voiceover states "I realised, 'They're never going to protect you'".
The moment evokes haunting memories of Diana's final days and appears to reference her being followed.
It conjures up echoes of the beloved princess' death in a car crash in 1997 while fleeing paparazzi.

Prince Harry then says: "I was terrified.
"I didn't want history to repeat itself."
The trailer also features a direct shot of Lady Di, while the prince discusses the "pain and suffering of women" marrying into the Royal Family.
A number of headlines about Diana were also shown amid talk of a "feeding frenzy".

Harry also slammed the "hierarchy" of the family, while Meghan can be seen wiping away tears.
The clip appears to suggest that the couple have been hounded by the press.
It comes amid controversy over an image from the doc, pushing this very suggestion, was found to be a stock image from a Harry Potter premiere years before they met.
The Netflix caption for the trailer read: "Harry & Meghan. A Netflix Global Event.
"Volume I: December 8. Volume II: December 15."
It comes just days after the streaming giant released a 59-second glimpse into what the docuseries will include.
Royal expert Angela Levin has blasted the couple and the show as a whole.
She said: "It's all made up nonsense isn't it. Meghan wants to be like Diana but it's a complete nonsense.
"Diana loved the monarchy. She was brought up with it and was very respectful.
"Before she died she made peace with Charles. Meghan is all about 'me me me'."
The has also today been updated to say: "In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story.
"Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.

The first part of the documentary, which is six episodes in length, will be hitting screens this Thursday, Netflix has confirmed.
It has already been slammed by Piers Morgan as "repulsive", who also branded the trailer "hypocritical".
