I’m so obsessed with Christmas gonks I got one tattooed… and it’s a matching inking with my best mate
WITH December fast approaching, it seems that it’s time for the Gonks to come out.
The Scandinavian novelty creatures have become a staple Christmas decoration in recent years and are clearly here to stay, but while many people will decorate their homes with gonks, it appears that two gonk-obsessed friends have gone one step further.
While decorating your home with gonks is a way to share your affection for the collectable item, two best friends, Debbie and Sarah got permanent, matching tattoos of the unique figurines.
Gonks are a mix of a gnome and hobgoblin, with long bushy beards and knitted hats.
They are considered to be the Nordic version of Santa Claus and one gonk fan, Debbie Fox, revealed that she loves gonks so much that her and her best friend got matching gonks tattooed on their arms.
Posting on a public Facebook page , which has 43.8k members, Debbie showed off her impressive gonk inking.
She shared some snaps of her and her best friend’s new tattoos, with the caption ‘I got this done with my friend Sarah Brundell. We love them’.
Debbie shared two images of the tattoos - one of her new inking and then one of her and her best friend Sarah holding up their matching inks.
Both women got the same tattoo - a pink gonk with long plaited hair and heart details.
The pair had their inks done on their forearms and underneath the gonk image, the best friends had the word ‘Bestie’ inked, to really commemorate their friendship.

The blonde-haired beauty was so pleased with her unique inking that she has even made it her profile picture on the social media platform.
Debbie’s post has clearly left many impressed, as it has garnered 395 likes, 315 comments and 38 shares in just two days.

Facebook users were impressed with Debbie’s tattoo and many took to the comments to express this.
Lots of people tagged their best friends and encouraged them to join in and get matching gonk tattoos too.
