Mum looks totally unrecognisable after unbelievable body transformation – and the reason she did it is so relatable
A MUM-OF-TWO has opened up about how she underwent an amazing transformation after divorcing her husband of 18 years and deciding she wanted to find new love.
Emma Sheppard from Blackpool split from her ex in 2020 and vowed that it would mark a brand new chapter in her life.
Welfare caseworker Emma, 42, then set to work on making her dream a reality.
First, she swapped her usual meals of egg and chips and bacon sandwiches for healthier alternatives, like homemade chicken pasta.
Emma also signed up to a gym where she began to lift weights and do cardio five times a week.
Two years on and with the changes in full flow, Emma has shared how she feels like she’s now “walking on air.”

Emma, who also overhauled her fashion and said she started to enjoy getting glammed up and going out again, said: “I’m so happy now that I’ve totally turned my life around.
“I feel amazing and it’s like the beauty comes from within. It’s like walking on air.
“Before I’d always just worked hard and cared for everyone else. But, one day after we separated, I realised it was my turn.
“I looked old, empty and drained, but now I’m living my best life. I’m happy and I look completely different.”

Recalling the tough days after her husband moved out in January 2021, Emma, whose divorce was finalised in October that year, explained that she understandably felt sad.
However, she credited US pop star Katy Perry’s anthem ‘Roar’ as giving her some fire in her belly and the strength to move on.
After embracing brighter fashion choices, her new healthy routine and even wearing red lipstick for the first time ever, Emma started to notice a real difference.
The mum, who also cut her smoking down from 20 to four-a-day, has also now joined dating app Tinder so that she can have a second shot at lasting love.

Recalling the moment she decided to start living her life for herself, Emma said: “It was really bad after he left, it really broke me. I felt worthless - I was having panic attacks.
“I had no confidence in myself and was so isolated. I was just existing, working to pay the bills and just getting through.
“One day I woke up and thought, ‘You come from a family of strong women, you are free and you can make a difference in your life.’
“I realised I can be so much more. It was like a force from somebody watching over me.”
