A savvy mum took to a cleaning Facebook group and shared her very handy "washing tip of the day."

In the post, which has since racked up over 850 likes, the busy mum advised: "Instead of pegging wet clothes on the line then having to get them off fold and put away, I put them straight on to hangers.

"When dry, I put them straight into cupboard."

She continued: "If you have a clothes line you can put hangers on the line etc - it saves so much time.

I find the clothes don’t need ironing either!"

The post has since received hundreds of comments from grateful parents up and down the globe - with others revealing they also swear by the time-saving hack.

"With 7 kids, I did this. Anything to make like easier," wrote one.

A second commented: "I do this all the time. I have a tripod stand I use inside too especially for my husbands work shirts."

A third penned: "It’s so easy and no double handling. I also use colour coded hangers for my boys so they can grab their own clothes."

Meanwhile, a fourth admitted: "I have done this for many years as I got sick of folding the clothes and then they would end up on kids bedroom floors."

Another added: "I've been doing this for years too. Ironing board has been made redundant apart from the occasional outfit for a special occasion."

And a further offered another helpful hack and penned: "None of my clothes besides formal dresses go on hangers….but a time savings tip for those who fold everything.

"Fold as it comes off the time instead of just a pile in washing basket.

"Doesn't take long to fold straight off the line and then your never left with piles of laundry to sit and fold which end up accumulating."
