WE'VE all been splashing out on wearable blankets to keep warm and save on our energy bills this winter.

But they can be costly - even the ones in Primark are around £20.

So savvy shoppers were thrilled when they came across the "Snugsies" in Lidl, and they cost just £12.99.

Georgina Barrett took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her bargain buy, posting a picture of the pink blanket and writing: "£12.99 in Lidl at the mo.

"Cheapest I've seen them anywhere!

"They also had dark and light grey, same price."

"Bought one for me and both the kids," one person commented on the post.

"Both me and my daughter work from home and they’ll be lovely and cosy during the winter."

"Oohh they look comfy," another added.

"They're really cosy only thing the fluff comes off them and goes everywhere," someone else wrote.

But another person replied, suggesting: "Had exactly the same thing, nightmare, then read instructions to wash before use - oops!

"They've been fine since washing."

And while they're cheaper than the "Snuddies" in Primark, someone else insisted they're not as good.

"I got my mum one," they wrote.

"Not very thick. Ones in primark are better."
