I want to give my baby girl a unique name but my husband says it’s embarrassing & others agree it’s cruel, but I love it

WHILE some parents opt for traditional baby names, others would rather choose something a little more unique.

But it can be tricky when the mum and dad struggle to agree on the same moniker.

That's the unfortunate scenario one woman found herself - and to make matters worse, she was branded 'embarrassing and cruel' after she revealed her favourite name online - 'Ocean.'

Taking to , the anonymous mum-to-be penned: "I’m pregnant. DH has said he 'can’t think' of any names for DD.

"I’ve thought of a few and really like ‘Ocean’ but DH is saying it’s an 'embarrassing' name but he hasn’t suggest any names himself for DD."

However, many slammed the woman's choice of name and suggested it sounded like a Kardashian.

"It's awful, sorry. It's not even a name, its a word," wrote one.
