The gift that keeps on giving – we test the best beauty advent calendars
WE all love an advent calendar on the countdown to Christmas.
But it doesn’t just have to be choccy goodies hiding behind the doors. I pick three top make-up advent calendars to make Xmas glam.
Budget
LIZ EARLE 12 Days Of Beauty advent calendar, £65 (worth £157, from : Whether you’re a skincare buff or complete newbie, you can’t go wrong with British brand Liz Earle’s botanical offering.
The products are great for all skin types, and there are three full-sized products, including the new Cleanse & Glow Transforming gel cleanser that melts away make-up and will work wonders on dull, hungover skin after the indulgent festive season.
Plus, if you have any holidays booked, the travel sizes are perfect for fitting in your cabin luggage.
It’s only 12 days, but if you abide by the rules and save it for twixmas, it’ll keep the festive spirit going well into 2023.

Mid range
MAC advent calendar, £165 (worth £405, ): Launching tomorrow, the make-up calendar contains 16 full-size and eight mini products, making it incredible value for money.
Highlights include my favourite lip primer, Prep + Prime Lip, which stops matte lipsticks from feeling heavy/drying, and two mini versions of my go-to lip shades; Velvet Teddy, a 90s nude-brown hue, and Mehr, a mid-tone mauve pink colour, as well as five party season staple eyeshadows that create a foolproof bronze smokey eye.
This really is the gift that keeps on giving. My favourite.
