THERE'S no better feeling than getting into a freshly cleaned bed.
But one laundry expert has revealed you might be doing it wrong.
Deyan Dimitrov, laundry expert and CEO of revealed the five mistakes she sees people making - and what you should avoid doing.
The first mistake is washing your bedding only when it is visibly dirty.
As a rule of thumb, you should be washing your sheets at least once every two weeks.
The expert told the : "Waiting until your sheets are visibly dirty can allow for germs, sweat and dirt to build over time, which doesn’t only affect the condition of your sheets but isn’t great for health either.

Another common mistake the expert sees is people using too much laundry detergent.
But the cleaning expert revealed this can cause more harm than good.
Too much detergent can cause stains and wear down the fabric causing holes and tears.
Instead, Deyan recommends using half a cup of baking soda and vinegar to wash your sheets to leave them silky soft.

You might think washing your bedding with other items won't do any harm, but you're wrong.
The expert said: Adding different fabrics into this cycle can create added friction, wearing down your sheets or causing bobbling.
"Equally, zippers or buttons could get snagged and cause tearing."
Instead, wash bed sheets separately so they have room to be washed properly.
Another mistake people make is overdrying their sheets, as keeping them in the tumble dryer for too long can cause them to shrink.
Instead, dry sheets in natural sunlight to ensure they last.
Finally, the expert said many people don't check the label on their bedsheets to know how long they should be in the washing machine.

Cotton sheets are best washed at a lower temperature, and certain fabrics shouldn’t be ironed or put in the tumble dryer, adds the expert.
Therefore you should always check what cycle your sheets need to be on.
