We all know kids like to run around and explore, which can be hazardous in its own right, so the dad opted for leashes to keep the kids safe.

But it has left people online divided - with some agreeing it keeps the children safe, and others claiming they're being treated 'like dogs, not humans.'

Jordan Driskell, 31, from Kentucky, US, is facing backlash online for sharing an video of him using a leash with his 5-year-old quintuplets when they're out in public.

His five children Zoey, Dakota, Hollyn, Asher and Gavin did use to have a six-seat stroller - but it was too bulking to take anywhere.

Jordan and his wife, Briana, 34, opted to use the leashes instead, telling : "For our own peace of mind and sanity, we use a leash.

"It also allows us to leave the house and do fun stuff as a family without being stressed."

He added that the leash allows the children to walk around in crowded places while still allowing the parents to be in control.

He posted the video of his children on the leash last year, but it has started going viral again recently with over three million views.

He wrote: "When people judge me for using child leashes.

"Come walk a mile in my shoes."

But it seemed not everyone was impressed by the product.

One wrote: "They are humans not dogs.”

Another commented: "Can’t you just train your children well? Explain to them why it’s dangerous to run away?”

A third penned: "That’s messed up. If you can’t handle that many children don’t get them in the first place.”

Despite backlash from some people, others fully supported the idea.

"I don’t see anything wrong, he’s just protecting his kids from getting lost or any danger, ok people," one commented.

"Five kids that seem to be in the same age range? tbh this makes sense," agreed another.

A third wrote: "Keeping them safe is priority #1, so you're all good sir! It's not hurting them in any way."
