I’m a Target super fan – 11 Dollar Spot hidden gems & why you need to already be shopping for Fall
FALL is only weeks away, and there's no better way to spend hot summer days than visiting an air-conditioned store and dreaming of a cooler season.
Even though it's summer, you can shop for home decor and handy items in autumnal colors at Target right now in the store's Dollar Spot section.
Home decor genius and Target superfan Olivia made a trip to the store for her YouTube channel, Olivia's Romantic Home, and with her followers.
Decked out in a warm sweater and pumpkin-orange nails, Olivia told her 302k followers about the $5 and under Target finds they should buy right now, because they'll sell out long before fall.
First, Olivia showed off two lumbar pillows, both with cute, fall-ready designs and a super-cheap price tag.
"I don't like to go too crazy with all the sayings pillows," Olivia said, but the orange lettering on the "hey there, pumpkin" pillow made it the perfect fit for her home.
She paired it with another bright orange pillow, covered in a charming pumpkin print.
"How adorable is this?" Olivia said, playing with the fun tassel details at the corners.. "Look at those super cute tassels."
"For $5 you can not go wrong," she told viewers, but warned them to add the pillows to their carts ASAP. "These are going to sell out fast."
Olivia said she would probably style the pillows with another $5 find, a woven throw blanket in a deep teal color.

"I love this color popped into some of your fall goodies," Olivia explained. "It breaks up some of the browns and yellows."
The blanket is lightweight but still a good size: at 40 by 60 inches, it's the perfect choice for getting cozy on the couch.
"It's not as thick as a throw blanket, but it's an 'in-betweener,' and we're going to have a lot of 'in-betweener' weather," Olivia said.
Next, she showed off her collection of beautiful tabletop pumpkins.
"Would it be a fall haul without sharing some pumpkins with you guys?" she asked.
The selection available at Target includes white, taupe, teal, black, and classic orange pumpkins. The range and quality impressed Olivia, and she might even skip another favorite fall decor store this year.
"They're beating Dollar Tree with their $1 pumpkins," she said.
If you want to welcome guests with a cheery message, try Target's freestanding signs, which look like little houses and include phrases like "home sweet home" and "gather together."
"If you don't want to go totally into fall and you want to go with something simple, I love this," Olivia said. "It's modern, chic farmhouse."
Or, for just $1, pick some hanging signs with trendy beading and fun slogans – including a few that do double-duty.
Olivia loved a small, hanging ornament that reads "Hello, Pumpkin." She snagged one, along with several reversible wall signs, all for just $1 each.
The sign that reads "but I think I love fall most of all" flips around to reveal an illustrated coffee cup and the message "get it while it's hot!"
Meanwhile, Olivia's new "pumpkin pie baked fresh daily" sign has "autumn leaves and pumpkin please" printed on the reverse.
The largest pumpkin Olivia picked up was a $5, transparent container, which has dozens of potential uses.
"I'm going to put my little coffee pods in it next to my coffee station," she said.
The blogger thought the pumpkin would look adorable filled with candy corn, potpourri, lights, or fall florals.
Olivia also tried something new from the Dollar Spot.
"I usually don't buy the Target Dollar Spot candles," she admitted. Olivia held up the $3 candles she'd purchased: the scents blush cashmere, in a muted pink container, and blue sage and tonka, in a muted teal.
"What I love about these is once I'm done with these candles, I can do a DIY with these," she said, holding up and admiring the ceramic containers.
Her next purchases were also $3 each: a sculptural fox and a sculpted acorn, both of which looked adorable next to the candles and the other signage.
Olivia said the neutral palette of the pieces elevated the tablescape.
"They look really high-end, like something you'd see in a nicer decor store," she said.
Finally, Olivia picked up two cute kitchen staples for just $5 each – and while they're perfect for fall, you'll want to use them through the winter and into the first chilly days of spring.
"Rounding out the rest of this haul, I found this really cute soup to-go container," Olivia said, showing off her treasure.

The white and orange ceramic bowl had a handy lid, and perfectly matched a travel mug in the same color scheme.
"I love having a fall drink, and it stays hot," Olivia said. They're great for keeping food warm on-the-go, but they're microwave safe, too – so if your snacks get cold, you reheat them safely in just a minute.
