Bride offers to buy bridesmaid’s dress then refuses to pay for damaged one & people are MAD
THE last thing you want to deal with while planning your wedding is difficult family members.
Not only did one bride try to accommodate her soon-to-be family, but she almost had to pay over $250 for their mistake.
Reddit user, Yellow Redundancy one bride's story on how she almost ended up paying for a damaged dress that wasn't hers.
The bride's headline reads: "AITA for refusing to pay for a dress that my bridesmaid ripped in the store?"
She prefaces the story by explaining that her fiancé had no siblings, just one aunt, and her daughter.
Her fiancé asked if she could include his cousin Kacy in her bridal party.
The bride agreed and said she would pay for all three of her bridesmaids' dresses.
When the time came to pick out and try some options, all three bridesmaids, her fiancé, and his aunt went to the appointment.
The girls chose their favorites from the window, and the sales associate recommended they all try a size or two up from their regular size.
While the bridesmaids went to the back to try on the dresses, the bride, her fiancé, and his aunt went to look at some bridal accessories.

From what her other two bridesmaids told her, Kacy got upset that she had to try dresses from the plus-size line and that the associate told her she shouldn't try anything below a size 16.
"Kacy has always squeezed herself into tight-fitting clothes and is very focused on (in her words) "unfair" and "misleading" sizing between brands, refusing to see that in reality, she's about a size 18 or 20 (so 22 to 24 in formal wear)," the bride explains.
The bride caught a glimpse of Kacy walking out of the dressing room and taking a dress off the mannequin from the front of the store.
Then, the sales associate pulled the bride aside and told her she would be charged a $250 damage fee for a ripped dress.
"When I went to talk to Kacy, I found her struggling to zip a too-small dress, and the size 14 dress (the one she grabbed) was hanging up and had burst open at the side," the bride says.
Upon seeing the damaged dress, the bride tells Kacy that she will not be paying for the damage she caused.
Kacy insisted that it was the bride's job to pay for it and went on a rant about sizing issues.
"I told her that there's no way in hell she's a size 14, and I don't care if she believes it out in the real world, but for the purposes of this trip and my wedding I needed her to accept that," the bride says.
Kacy's mother, her fiancé's aunt, insisted that the bride pay the fee because Kacy doesn't have a good enough job and insisted it was the bride's fault for even putting Kacy around the smaller dresses in the first place.
Ultimately, her fiancé's aunt ended up paying the $250 fee.
Readers were appalled by Kacy's actions.
"I’d kick her out as a bridesmaid at this point too. She sounds like she’s going to cause more trouble before the wedding is done," one commented.

Others were angry at Kacy's mother for reacting the way she did.
