IT'S an age-old superstition that a bride must be the only person to wear white on her wedding day.
Choosing to wear white to a wedding is seen as attention-seeking and rude, but this bridesmaid was already in trouble before her friend's big day rolled around.
A Reddit user shared her experience getting .
The original poster explained how she has arrived at the venue, hours before the other guests, to decorate.
" Everything looked beautiful, and when my best friend got there, she looked thrilled. Until she saw my white nails," she said.
The Reddit user continued: "I could see she was staring at my hands and making a face, but she initially brushed it off when I asked what was wrong."

The bride pulled her friend aside as the guests took part in a party game and gave out to her about her manicure.
"She told me she wanted me to either rip off my nails or go home. She felt like the white nails were a subtle dig at her, or a way for me to take attention off of her as white is 100% reserved for the bride," the original poster explained.
The Reddit user went on to explain that she had not intentionally picked the color for the event but the bride did not care.
"I tried to explain it was just a misunderstanding, but my friend told me to leave because I wasn't respecting her wishes as the bride," she said.

According to the original poster, it wasn't long before the groom-to-be soon got involved in the ridiculous fight.
"Her fiancé even asked me to apologize and make up so the wedding can run smoothly in a few days," she said.
She explained: "Apparently she didn't think I'd actually leave and thought I'd rip off my nails after her threat."
Reddit users were united in support of the original poster over the outrageous demand.
