I tried to buy a pram on Facebook – the seller sent the most savage reply, I’m in total shock
AS we’re sure all mums will agree, buying a pram really isn’t as simple as it sounds.
You’ve got twin buggies. You’ve got three-wheelers. There are travel baskets and rear-facing styles too.
There are all these things to consider before splashing out a few hundred quid on an essential item you’ll probably use everyday for the next few years.
So when this new mum was weighing up which one to buy earlier this week, she didn’t think twice about messaging a local family-run baby shop for advice.
However, the shocking response she got from a member of staff made her really wish she hadn’t.
As reports, the anonymous mum got in contact with the shop to see if they had the particular pram in stock and to see if she buy it without the bassinet.

A few hours later, the woman got a response from the store – which started out normally enough.
The reply read: “Unfortunately, the V2 [pram] is sold with the bassinet and the colour mentioned is exclusive to [another store].”
But rather than just leaving it there, they signed off with: “You dumb c***.”
Sharing a screenshot of the messages on a Facebook group, the mum said the “unacceptable” message left her in “complete shock”.
After making a formal complaint, the business issued a statement confirming that the person responsible for the savage message had been fired.
They wrote: “To all our customers, [we] sincerely apologise for the recent social media behaviour of an employee. We understand that the impact was offensive and inappropriate and never should have happened.
“We are deeply disappointed and consider that this is a one-off event that does not reflect the culture of the staff or the business.
