If you hear a buzzing inside one of your windows this summer, simply grab an old matchbox to tackle your uninvited guest.

Ensuring there are no remaining matches in the box, slide the box partially from its sleeve.

Once you have located the creepy crawly you want to evict from your home, simply place the matchbox over it and slide it closed.

It goes without saying that, unless you have lightening reflexes, this hack only works if the insect is on a flat surface and not flying in the air.

Instagram users were impressed with the simple trick, taking to the comments section to share their opinions.

"Damn bro, you just solved a ridiculously complex problem," wrote one viewer.

Another person joked: "Welp that's going to up the price [of matches] after people start buying them after watching this video."
