She’s also been told that she’s actually ruined her life and won’t be able to do normal teenage things, as she’ll be bringing up a child instead.

“Obviously we had time to do the things that normal teenagers do,” says Kailey, “hence why I had a child at 16.”

She also argues that she finds raising a child to be more fulfilling than stereotypical ‘teenage activities.’

Another regularly comment she gets is that people feel sorry for her father, or that they hope they don’t have daughters in case they end up like her.

To this, Kailey points out that even if you have a son they can still have a child at a young age, they just have an easier out.

Others have accused her of living off her parents, with one such commenter writing; “If you aren’t financially stable and still have to rely on mommy and daddy you aren’t ready for children.”

Kailey says that while her parents did help to begin with she ultimately pulled everything together and she and her husband do rely on themselves financially now.
