I thought I’d found a dream man when my exact type messaged me – turns out I was catfished
A WOMAN was left in tears after chatting to her dream man online for months - only to then find out it had been an ex-boyfriend's mate using a fake identity.
Hayley, an admin assistant from Gloucestershire, appeared on MTV’s Catfish UK and shared how she fell head over heels a tatted guy who had slid into her DMs a while ago.
But after her dream bloke, who claimed to be a guy named Alex, always had an excuse when it got to finally meeting in person, the blonde stunner decided to get in touch with the show - and she very soon came to learn the truth.
The two had met online and had been speaking for five months, but had still not seen each other in real life, despite Hayley describing him as ''the one'' and living relatively close to one another.
''He's exactly my type - both in terms of looks and personality.
''I was immediately attracted to him and we connected on a deeper level too - I've completely fallen for him,'' said Hayley who's in an exclusive relationship with Alex.

Telling her story, the assistant revealed that she was worried Alex might be hiding something, as when she questioned him, he would ''pull away''.
The hosts, Oobah Butler - the hoax who got his shed to the top of TripAdvisor's London restaurants a few years back - and the Catfish US host, Kamie Crawford, then set off to work to figure out what was really going on.
Alex, who worked as a 'butler in the buff', had at one point claimed to be a professional vet.
But upon searching up his name in the national database, the two hosts quickly came to learn that this wasn't the case after all.

They then looked through his snaps and realised that Alex had, in fact, taken the images from Ryan, ''a cheeky butler'' living in Livingston, Scotland.
When they broke the news, Hayley couldn't believe what she had just heard and tried to find possible explanations.

But when the real Ryan entered the room and reaffirmed that it hadn't been him whom she'd been speaking to all this time, Hayley stormed out in tears.
''I just feel like a mug. [...] I genuinely thought that they loved me and we're gonna have this future together.''
To get the bottom of it and give the heartbroken woman some answers, Oobah and Kamie suggested meeting ''Alex'' - but he never showed up.
Upon arriving at the location the following day, the three stumbled upon a letter - one that confessed feelings and had been written by a guy named Liam.
Liam, as she went on to reveal, was her ex-boyfriend's mate and the two had never really spoken properly apart from the odd chat having bumped into on the street.
As she shred the piece of paper, Hayley said: ''I'm done [...]. It's just doesn't make sense.
''He's made me feel so humiliated again.''
