‘Jealous’ Prince Charles ‘had explosive rows with son William after feeling left out of Cambridge family’s life’

PRINCE Charles had "explosive rows" with Prince William after fearing he was being "airbrushed" out of the Cambridges' lives, it's reported.

Insiders say the Prince of Wales was hurt when William became close to the Middleton family - and felt "bruised" by their relationship.

Charles is rarely able to attend last-minute family events as his busy diary is organised up to six months in advance, sources claim.

It means he has been forced to miss "impromptu" birthday parties for his grandchildren George, Charlotte and Louis, the reports.

Royal editor Rebecca English said: "Explosive rows between father and son were often overheard by staff, with Charles — who hates family confrontations — burying himself in his paperwork to avoid the conflict."

However, in recent years the men have become much closer as they step up to support the Queen.

It's understood they were united with Her Majesty on the new roles for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after Megxit.

And the heirs have banded together to keep Prince Andrew away from the royal frontline, it's believed.

According to reports, they met with the Queen before the disgraced duke was stripped of his titles and honours in January last year.

They also jointly "blocked" Andrew from joining senior royals for the Garter Day procession at Windsor Castle, with William allegedly warning he wouldn't attend if his uncle did.

The insider told the newspaper Charles and William are "much more on the same page now".

"They will always be quite different characters, but there's a mutual respect," they added.

Andrew - who is reportedly "confident and bullish" that he can make a "comeback" - stepped down from royal duties weeks before settling his lawsuit with sex accuser Virginia Giuffre.

The multi-million pound pay-out is not an admission of guilt.

Both William and Charles were "dismayed" by the prominent role Andrew played in Prince Philip's Service of Thanksgiving, when he drove from Windsor to London with his mother and accompanied her down the aisle.

They reportedly hoped “common sense” would prevail and that Andrew would not seek to play a prominent role.

Meanwhile, another source has told of the tensions between William and Harry.

The pair are only believed to have attended one Jubilee event together - the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's - but were sat across the aisle from one another.

Neither the Sussexes or the Cambridges acknowledged each other or exchanged eye contact, and Meghan and Harry left immediately after the service rather than join a reception for VIPs.

It's now claimed that William believes his brother has been sucked into an "alien world", and is still furious that wife Kate was "disrespected" in the Oprah interview in March 2021.

Representatives for the royals didn't wish to comment on the allegations this evening.
