Meghan Markle watches on as Prince Harry’s polo team suffers defeat while rift with brother Prince William rumbles on

MEGHAN Markle was spotted watching hubby Prince Harry as his polo team were hoofed into a heavy defeat in California.

The Duchess of Sussex could be seen knocking back drinks as she chatted with WAGS on the side-lines on Friday.

Prince Harry turned out on horseback for Los Padres at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club – a stones throw from the pair’s multi-million dollar Montecito mansion.

But his team were sent packing by rivals Folded Hills in the semi-final bout which sees them miss out on Sunday’s Pacific Coast Circuit Intra-Circuit Cup final.

Donning a double denim outfit of a relaxed shirt and shorts finished off with Grecian-style leather sandals – Meghan appeared disappointed for Harry.

Meanwhile the Duke was pictured screaming and shouting – and at one moment can be seen appearing very deflated as he leans up against a tent.

The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by barefooted Delfina Blaquier, wife of Harry’s old pal and teammate Nacho Figueras who founded the team.

Figueras, 45, is an Argentinian who Tatler once dubbed the “David Beckham of polo”.

The Duke recently joined the team, having played the sport for most of his life alongside his brother Prince William, 39.

He has signed up to play a full season of polo.

Meghan was also snapped giving Figueras a big hug after their defeat under the baking California sunshine.

The defeat marks a sea change for the Prince who only last month was pictured arms aloft in jubilant celebration following a win at the posh club.

And last weekend the Duke took a tumble off his horse amid a chaotic game of the horseback sport.

It comes after  with his brother during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The brothers were both at St Paul’s Cathedral for the Service of Thanksgiving but otherwise did not interact.

Now a source close to the Duke of Cambridge has claimed he thinks his brother has slipped into an “alien world” since trading the UK for the US.

Speaking to  they said: “William is absolutely allergic to drama, but Harry has ensured that the family laundry is being aired on a global scale.

“Truthfully, William thinks Harry has been sucked into an alien world and there’s f*** all he can do about it. 

“But he does want Harry to be happy, and if he stops throwing dust in their faces, then maybe he will find a way to forgive and forget.”

William celebrates in his birthday on Tuesday.
