We spent our wedding catering budget on appearances from Mickey & Minnie Mouse – our guests were furious but we loved it

ITS NO secret that weddings can be pricey.

Most couple save for years for their big day, making sure both themselves their guests enjoy themselves.

But this couple decided to change up their wedding plans when they used their catering budget on something a little different.

They decided to ditch the food and instead have appearances from Mikey and Minnie Mouse.

The bride explained on : "We had the perfect wedding, everything was perfect, and I mean everything."

But not everyone felt the same way about the big day, with the bride's aunt posting on Facebook afterwards, saying how disappointed she was by the complete lack of food.

To make the situation worse, other guests started agreeing with her.

She said: "Our parents were still very supportive of us, but everyone else is being very passive aggressive about it on Facebook."

"The issue was with our decision to not offer catering services/bar services at our wedding due to routing the money towards having a wedding Minnie and Mickey make appearances at our special day,” she added.

The user confessed: "My parents and his parents helped us pay for a great chunk of the wedding."

Adding that the the cost to have both Mikey and Minnie for two 30 minute appearances cost £2,191 per session.

This was "almost exactly what our parents allotted for our catering budget," she confessed.

They decided to forfeit feeding their guests for the pleasure of having their favourite cartoon mice at their wedding, one session during their first dance and one for their wedding photos.

The bride didn't see an issue with the decision, explaining that "plenty of facilities at the venue where people could eat."
