Our lucky Platinum Jubilee Street Party winners put on unforgettable events
THOUSANDS of patriotic Brits had a luvvly jubbly jubilee bank holiday thanks to The Sun’s fantastic Street Party competition.
We teamed up with Iceland and The Food Warehouse to give five lucky streets £2,000 each to put on an unforgettable party.
And what a time the winning communities got to have with the money they received – from a knees up in a South Wales street that had been devastated by floods to a street in Lancashire playing host to the biggest bash in Britain.
Here’s how our five winners were streets ahead at throwing a party to remember.
Worcester
PINKETT Street has had ten parties for every big royal event since 1953 and there were 300 partying this time

Morecambe
THE town hosted the country’s biggest bash as 5,000 people partied around 300 picnic tables along its promenade.

More than 300 residents packed the street in Essex to cheer on their neighbours.
Organiser Gwen Cook, 53, said: “We had a party fit for a Queen. We’d been so excited about it for weeks.”
