The years seemed to fall off the Queen, 96, at Platinum Jubilee as huge crowds cheered for her

SHE really is our Number One – and the years seemed to fall off the Queen yesterday.

Her Majesty looked two decades younger than her 96 years as she was overwhelmed by the response of the huge crowds.

I had the privilege of taking my photos of her from the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.

I expected the Queen to shuffle on to the balcony, but she walked on laughing with Prince Charles.

She was so excited at the flypast. It was as if the years had fallen away.

She made two appearances on the balcony, one with the Duke of Kent and the other with the rest of the working royals.

MORE ON THE QUEEN

Each time, the crowd went crazy.

Her interaction with her great-great-grandchildren was lovely to see, especially as she comforted Louis.

While his brother and sister were enjoying the flypast, the four-year-old prince looked miserable until the Queen cheered him up.

And Her Majesty looked amazing with her very fashionable glasses and hat to go with her dress from the official picture.

I’ve covered all her jubilees – but for me the Platinum is the best.

Looking at our Queen today I’m convinced we will be seeing her at the Trooping next year and, God willing, for more years to come.
