I’m an aesthetic doctor – the anti-aging skincare treatment you should never waste your money on
MAINTAINING a useful glow is a super important factor for most women in regard to their skincare routine.
It turns out there’s a specific skin treatment that you can avoid because it might just be a total waste of money.
An expert skincare specialist named Dr Harris revealed the truth about preventative Botox to .
For a long time, women have believed that preventative Botox is the answer to avoiding future wrinkles that might develop.
Botox in general helps relax or paralyze facial muscles to hide wrinkles and fine lines once they appear.
According to Dr Harris though, preventative Botox is simply just a concept.
He explains: "The idea is that if you can’t move the muscles in your face, the lines above them won’t form."
He continues: “People are now starting Botox in their early 20s.”
According to him, visible wrinkles don’t typically show up on faces until people reach their 30s and sometimes even their 40s.
His message takes on a serious note when he says: “Botox is a drug and it should be looked at as any other drug. You don’t want to be taking it if it’s not necessary, because there are side effects to it.“
In his opinion, using Botox before wrinkles have even shown up doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
The reason why is that if the muscles in your face aren’t being used due to Botox, they’ll still regain function as soon as the Botox wears off.
That being said, wrinkles will still have a chance to form regardless of how much preventative Botox you might be receiving.
Fortunately, there are some incredible alternatives people can depend on instead of using preventative Botox.
One of those alternatives would be chemical peels that aid in skin cell renewal by getting rid of old skin cells.
Morpheus8 is another skincare treatment that works as a combination of radiofrequency and micro-needling.
