My cousin stole my unique baby name – he asked me to call off my angry family but even his own mom agrees with me

A MOM-TO-BE has claimed that her cousin stole the unique name that she's going to give to her baby.

The Redditor, who is 31 weeks pregnant with a little girl, revealed that her cousin had chosen almost the exact same name - a decision that left his own mom furious.

He reportedly demanded that she should call her family, urging them to stop “pressuring” him about the .

The woman revealed that she had chosen a first name that was sentimental.

She said: “We’ve planned the name for years – when we were dating and talking about the future, one of the things we always said was that our firstborn would have this name.

“It’s gender-neutral, so it didn’t matter if it was a girl or boy. There’s basically been no question that this would be our child’s name.”

She revealed that two weeks ago her cousin’s wife had a baby.

But, they had chosen the same first name and an identical second name.

She said: “It would be like if our baby’s name was Mary Elizabeth, then the name they chose is Mary Eliza.”

The cousin’s decision to choose a similar name sparked a huge backlash among family members.

She said: “Apparently, a bunch of them (including my cousin’s mom) have reached out and told my cousin and his wife that what they did is really s****y and that they need to think about changing their baby’s name.

“I absolutely didn’t ask them to do this but I can’t pretend I’m not happy that people are ‘taking our side’.”

The woman said that she and her husband didn’t mention the newborn’s name when congratulating her cousin.

But, he said she should call her family and order them to stop “pressuring” him about the name.
