I lost almost 14st after I was too fat to play with my son – my excess skin was so bad it stunned doctors
A MUM has revealed she lost almost 14 stone in just a year – but the excess skin left her doctors speechless.
Appearing on My Extreme Excess Skin, Mikki, revealed she made the life-changing decision to put her health first after realising she wasn’t able to spend quality time with her young son.
Now completely unrecognisable, the mum reflected: ”I’ll never forget the day of me sitting on the chair and Gaige wanting to play with me.
”I said ‘No, I’m sorry, honey, mummy can’t’.”
She recalled having said she felt tired – when in reality it was her weight that got in the way.
”It was my turning point. I thought ‘What have I done?’.”

Determined to become a healthier version of herself, Mikki decided to get a gastric sleeve surgery, which supressed her appetite.
”The weight started to fall of very quickly,” she remembered.
”With the restrictive diet and the exercise, I was down 200 pounds (14.2 stone) in just about the first year after the surgery.”
But now, at 8.5 stone, the mum was facing a new problem – so much excess skin that it’s affecting her confidence.
”I feel like a fraud because even though I worked so hard to lose 279 pounds, I can’t just flex in to see my muscles.
”I have to kind of pull the skin back in order to see any sort of definition,” Mikki opened up.

”All of my hard work has not paid off because the skin affects every aspect of my life.”
After paying a visit to a clinic, Mikki’s doctor was stunned at what he had just seen.
”The most impressive thing to me is her legs.
”I really have never seen that much excess skin and that many wrinkles on someone’s inner thigh.
”Mikki has lost a lot of weight and she is very thin – she has practically no body fat left.”

Fortunately, despite initial concerns about the mum’s blood work and overall health, the surgeon agreed to put her under the knife – and not only did he remove the surplus skin but also injected some fat in the butt, as well inserted breast implants.
”Now that the skin is gone, I feel like I can finally celebrate all of my accomplishments.”
