Bob the Builder looks unrecognisable with new look and people say it’s ruined their childhood

CHILDHOOD fans of Bob the Builder have claimed his new look has ruined their childhood.

The famous TV character, known for being able to fix anything, has had a new look created and people are stunned.

The handyman has been on our screens for thirty years - but his looks have changed over the years.

Ask anyone if 'we can fix it?' and they will likely respond with 'yes we can.'

But thanks to a viral Twitter post showing Bob's new look, many people are in doubt they have fixed it.

Bob who used to look middle-aged now has a slimmer, younger look about him to the dismay of fans.

And compare to the Bob of the 90's and 2000's - the new bob has ditched his signature denim dungarees.

The household-known contractor who debuted in 1988, still dons a yellow and orange checked shirt and yellow helmet.

But now he has upgraded to more fashionable jeans, a sleeveless high-vis jacket and a trendy sports watch.

But the changes have proved too much to bear for some diehard fans who grew up with the old Bob, calling his new look 'tragic.'

Sharing before and after pictures of the character on Twitter, No Context Brits wrote: "Look how they massacred my boy."

This was met with hundreds of retweets and replies from outraged former viewers, many joking that their childhoods had been ruined.

One said: "Can they fix it? No, they broke it instead."

Another fan described the revamp as one of the "top 10 biggest downgrades in TV history", while someone else commented: "I'm going to be sick."

"Why does he look 12?" asked one disturbed Twitter user. "He is a successfully self-employed builder - he's got his life together he should look at least 35 like he used to."

And another person took particular offence to the current designers giving the character eyebrows, saying: "They gave him ****ing eyebrows! Tragic."
