Optical illusion makes viewers’ ‘brains hurt’ – can you see the real illustration?
AN optical illusion is making some viewers' brains hurt while leaving others wondering if they can see the real illustration.
Artist is responsible for the latest image that is blowing the minds of Reddit users.
The optical illusion shared on the website led to dozens of comments about how it affects viewers' brains.
Titled The Architect, the image features a man working at a desk alongside a dog.
"Is he inside or outside?" Johansson wrote in an featuring the work of art.
"It’s a matter of perspective."
On his website, Johansson captioned it: Imagine the unimaginable.
"I have a big fascination for geometry and playing with perspective," he explained.
"Just the fact that it’s possible to create or draw something that is impossible in the real world but still looks like it could be possible. Like our mind wants it to make sense although it doesn’t."
One viewer wrote on Reddit: "This is a good illustration of the limitations of the human brain.

"This is just a flat white canvas with pigment applied, but it's virtually impossible for our brain to process it as such."
"Well executed, beautiful work," one viewer wrote.
But not everyone was as quick to commend the art behind the illusion. Some found the image difficult to view.
"It's cool but seeing the roof blows it for me," one user chimed in.
"Is it wrong that I hate this? My brain does not approve," wrote another.
"The background kinda ruined the optical illusion," wrote someone else.
Some users took note of the artist's influence.
"This is definitely an artist that was inspired by M.C. Escher. Very cool and trippy," one user wrote.
Optical illusions have been taking the internet by storm for years.
But a recent resurgence has Reddit users testing the limits of their eyes and brains.
With this illusion in particular, viewers are challenged to see the house as intended.
