Woman in hysterics over cheeky note postie stuck through the letterbox about state of her front door
EVEN though we see them more than most of our mates, our chats with the local postie usually start and end with: 'You alright?'
So when Elizabeth Pocklington's super shy postwoman shoved a rather cheeky note through her door, the teacher was pretty taken back at first.
During lockdown in 2020, Elizabeth had been giving the outside of her Nottingham home a bit of a spruce-up.
In photos shared on Twitter, the DIY-er had painted several different swatches on her black front door and couldn't decide between the different shades of light green.
That is, until one day her postie made the decision for her.
Even though Elizabeth and her partner were at home to receive their parcel, the Royal Mail worker decided to weigh in on the matter too.

Scribbling her preference down on a 'Sorry We Missed You Card', she wrote: "Second green up from the bottom looks the best."
She then signed off the message with a smiley face before posting it through the door.
Posting a photo of the message on Twitter, Elizabeth wrote at the time: "We were struggling to choose a front door colour... thank you to the postie for helping us out."
Speaking to the , Elizabeth revealed that they'd settled on the middle colour - but the viral post had her questioning everything.

She joked: "I'd ordered the colour about a week and a half ago but I don't know whether to change it or not now."
The tweet racked up almost 80,000 "likes" and the majority of users agreed the postie had picked the right colour.
Judging from the choice she made, one joked: "I knew it would be a woman!"
Another added: "Love this, I bet the postie had a little smile as they posted it."
Meanwhile, a third wrote: "They obviously have seen a few doors in their time, I'd do it that colour and leave a big bar of Dairy Milk out for their great advice."
