Now Jessie Wallace - who plays Zoe's mum and soap legend Kat - has gone one better in real life, becoming a grandmother after her daughter Tallulah, 17, gave birth.
She announced the tot to the world on Instagram saying: "Welcome to the world, my grandson SJ. You are loved, cherished and adored."
Youthful looking Jessie, 50, delighted fans with the news, with many commenting on social media that she doesn't look old enough to be a gran.
One wrote "she looks so young too", while another said: "Jessie Wallace being a grandma now seems crazy to me."
In celeb land, however, Jessie's far from the youngest grandparent in town - with many welcoming grandkids in their 40s and 30s.

Dean Gaffney
Fellow former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney welcomed his first grandchild last year at 43.
His daughter Chloe, 24, gave birth to Mimi on July 7, 2020.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun about his happy news, Dean said: "I’m so proud. Lots of my mates are becoming dads, but I’m a grandad at the same age.
“The only person I know who’s in the same boat as me is Danny Dyer, who has a grandchild at 43. I’ll be calling him for tips. We could do grandaddy daycare together.’”
The actor joked that he hoped people would mistake the tot for his when spending quality time with her out and about.
Dean, 44, was 18 when he welcomed daughter Chloe and Charlotte with ex-partner Sarah Burge.

Whoopi Goldberg - Great gran at 58
Hollywood star Whoopi Goldberg became a grandma at 34... and then a great grandma at 58.
She welcomed Charli Rose in April 2014, who is the grandchild of her daughter, Alex Martin.
Whoopi, 66, gushed over the little one at the time, saying: "Everyone meet the new addition to my family Charli Rose and yea I'm a tad awkward it took me a minute been a LONG time!"
The youngster was still struggling with the Sister Act star's name and calls her Oopi.
"Oopi, yeah, [she] can't quite get out Whoopi," the talkshow co-host revealed. "I will say, about a week ago, I went to pick her up from school and she said, 'Hi, Oopi Goldberg.'"
Outside of the youngest family member, she has two other grandchildren, Jerzey and Mason.
Danny Dyer - Grandad at 44
Soap hardman Danny Dyer was made a grandad at 44 when eldest child Dani gave birth to Santiago in January last year.
At the time the EastEnders actor posted: "I think I can safely say that having my first beautiful Grandson was the second best thing to happen to me this week. Come on you f***ing Irons."
He went to meet the tot just two days after Dani gave birth in hospital and took some useful baby items with him.
In his podcast, Sorted With The Dyers, he said: "It’s odd to call myself granddad. It’s such an honour. In my head I’m still 20 in a way."
He added: "I’ve just got to try and get my head around the fact that I could be a great-grandad by the time I’m 60. That’s what freaks me out more than anything else. Then a great great-grandad by the time I’m 80. F**k me."
Mama June - Gran at 32
Toddlers and Tiaras star June Edith, known as Mama June, became a grandma for the first time in 2012 aged 32.
The 42-year-old is best known for being the mum of reality star Honey Boo Boo and has since been in and out of trouble with the law.
Her four grandchildren are Kaitlyn, 10, Kylee, seven, Ella, five, and Bentley, eight months.
Mama June's eldest granddaughter, Kailyn, was born with an extra thumb, which was later removed.
For a while Kailyn's mum, Anna, was estranged from the reality star, but they have since reconciled.
Pierce Brosnan - Grandad at 44
The former James Bond actor, 68, became a grandfather at 44 when adopted daughter Charlotte gave birth to Isabella in 1998.
Then in 2001 he welcome Lucas, Isabella's little brother, and in 2015 his son Sean and his wife had Marley May.
“It’s just such a joy to be a grandparent … there is just something intoxicating about it and beautiful,” he gushed at the time.
“There is something very special about it. I think it’s the timing of your life … you know, your passage in life is going through and you’ve brought up a son or daughter and now you have a [grandchild], and you’re looking at the clock.”
After the death of his daughter, Charlotte, from ovarian cancer in 2013, he made sure to be a constant source of support for her two children.
Pierce often speaks about his love of being a grandparent.
“There’s still a lot of life in the old man and I’ll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious,” he told The Herald in 2015.
“It can be snatched away without any prior warning … so why waste it? That’s why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children and my grandchildren.”
Cee Lo Green - Grandad at 35
Singer Cee Lo, 46, became a grandfather in 2010, the same time his hit song F*** You dominated UK charts.
At the time of the tot's birth, the music producer was 35 years old.
The youngster was born to his adopted daughter Sierra Johnson - who appeared on MTV's My Super Sweet 16.
Since then he appears to have welcomed more grandchildren, but it is not clear how many.
Gushing about his growing family on Twitter, CeeLo said: "My children/grandchildren call me poppi. My lil one Izzy is my biggest fan."
Keifer Sutherland - Grandad at 39
Designated Survivor star Keifer Sutherland, now 55, welcomed his first grandchild when he was 39.
His stepdaughter Michelle Kath gave birth to Hamish Sinclair and the actor was smitten from the get-go.
In 2012 he said: "He already looks like a failed boxer. He falls down a lot and he gets cut up and he’s just beautiful.
“He’s one of the great pleasures of my life.”
Keifer now has a second grandson, called Quinn, but it is unclear when the little boy was born.
