He explains: “I’m a full time eBay and other online retail website reseller.

“This is how I pay my bills and I will be showing and sharing my journey with you as I expand my online business.”

Rather than selling on his own belongings, Jay visits his local charity shops where he picks up toys, games and gadgets on the cheap before listing them on the auction site.

In this particular haul, Jay visited a couple of local charity shops and picked up £18 worth of stuff.

“I have spent £18 on all of this stuff today and I’m hoping to make £180,” he explains.

His stash included Star Wars Lego, a pair of brand new Gola trainers, two bags of Playmobil and an iPod dock.

When Jay totted up just how much he was set to make on his listings he had far exceeded his expectations with the lot expected to sell for £327.

He says: “It really is amazing to me how much money you can generate for yourself just by visiting a charity shop maybe once a week either just for a hobby or for a spare bit of money to pay off some bills.

“This doesn’t have to be a full time job for everyone who’s enjoying it, it can just be something on the side to maybe pay your internet bill or your food bill or something like that.

“There is so much money to be made at the charity shops.”
