, Shelby Vanhoy, revealed in her blog how she managed to become that coveted morning person:

SCHEDULE THE FIRST 30 MINUTES FOR YOU

Before going to bed, set aside some time to do something that will help you get out of bed the next morning.

During these 30 minutes, you can make a cup of coffee, respond to an email, or even just lay in bed and relax.

Instead of having to jump straight out of bed to get ready, you'll have this extra time to start your day.

Instead of getting up and rushing through making breakfast, aim to have it prepared the night before.

"When I wake up, cooking breakfast is one less to-do. And I can use that time for something else!

"It has saved me a lot of time, honestly," she explained.

GIVE YOUR ALARM CLOCK A MAKEOVER

And as far as placement of your alarm, the lifestyle blogger suggested setting it up somewhere where it'll force you to get up.

That way, once you're standing up trying to turn off your alarm, the hard part of physically getting out from under the covers will have already been done.

TURN OFF ALL TECH

Turning off all technology in the home will lead you to do nothing else but hit the hay.

Shelby explained: "For me, I’ve been turning off my computer by 9:30 pm so that hopefully I can be tired enough to go to bed by 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm.
