My maid of honor got pregnant before my wedding – it’s a betrayal of a friendship that I can’t move past

WEDDINGS are almost always stressful - especially if you’re dealing with a bridezilla.
Some brides get in over their heads, obsessing over every detail and trying to control all of their guests.
One bride took to Reddit to with her maid of honor and ask if she was justified in her reaction.
“I just found out a week ago that my MOH is pregnant.
"We have been best friends for over 15 years and each other’s wedding days are very important to us.”
The bride said that a few years back, she was the maid of honor for this friend and went above and beyond to ensure that everything at the wedding was perfect for her pal.
Going back to her current situation, she explained that she and her fiancé postponed their wedding from January to September of this year.
“And my MOH’s newborn will be about two weeks old on the day. She already knew our new date for later this year when she got pregnant.

“I’m having a really hard time moving past this. I feel betrayed and as though she hasn’t considered how this will impact my day.”
The bride said she couldn’t help but think about all of the problems that a newborn could pose at her wedding.
“And I don’t want her to miss out on important aspects of the day because of it.”
Although the bride wondered if she was in the right, the majority of Reddit users did not take her side.
One person wrote: “Wow! What a psycho. Not really a best friend when you're concerned that if the newborn is sick, it will ruin your wedding day and not your best friend.”
Another offered her an alternative outlook: “You know what the proper response is to find out your MOH is due two weeks before your wedding?
“‘I’m so excited for you! Now if you don't think you'll feel up to being in the wedding party, I will absolutely understand if you want to step down.’"
