A WOMAN has revealed how she gave herself a DIY tattoo using her mum’s sewing kit when she was just 14.
Sophie appeared on E4’s Tattoo Fixers where she showcased her dodgy inking that she’d had since she was in school.
Speaking on the show, Sophie said: “Basically I’ve just got a really s*** tattoo.
“I did it to myself. Basically I was feeling pretty emo - so I was sat in my bed one night and waited for my parents to go to sleep.
“I got a sewing needle from my mum’s sewing kit and just gave it a go.
“I was in year nine, I was 14. I don’t know how I’m not dead to be honest.”
She showcased her amateur inking which featured a skateboard and the words ‘Sk8 or die’ on her upper arm.
Horrified, tattoo artist Sketch asked what her mum thought.

“(She went) Proper nuts, they saw it while I was on holiday,” Sophie explained, “I was like oh s*** what am I gonna say?”
Sophie told her parents that the tattoo was actually Sharpie and they told her to go and wash it off in the shower.
She explained: “I got in the shower, got one of those nail brushes and was like ‘OK quick’ and it started bleeding.
“Obviously it didn’t come off.”
Speaking of bad tattoos, this mum had a cat tattooed on her bikini line but the inking now looks trashy.
This mum cried over her daughter's tattooed sleeve, but some people have said she needs to get a grip.
