During the pandemic, Anna Vakili returned to work as a pharmacist to help in the fight against coronavirus.

The 31-year-old previously quit her job to appear on the ITV2 dating show in 2019 and hadn’t returned – until April 2020.

Explaining her decision, she told fans: “First day back working as a Pharmacist since leaving Love Island.

“It’s been almost a whole year! Wow can’t believe how fast it’s gone.

“Wasn’t really planning on registering yet but with everything that’s going on it felt wrong not to.

“We can all fight this together. Stay safe. Stay home. Save lives.”

Anna spent five years training to become a pharmacist, but previously said she had no plans to go back to it following Love Island.

Anna isn’t the only Love Island star to be helping out on the frontline – Dr Alex George is of course hard at work and keeping fans up to date with the situation.

The medic, 30, hoped to set hearts racing when he entered the Love Island villa in 2018 - but he failed to find love.

He is now busy as an A&E doctor, currently working at the University Hospital Lewisham in South East London, and has brought out a book called Live Well Every Day.

He has also continued to promote awareness of mental health after his younger brother Llyr took his own life at the age of 19.

However, rather than follow fame through reality TV - O'Shea continued with a career in sport.

His determination was rewarded by appearing for Ireland at Tokyo 2020 in the rugby sevens.

And despite Ireland missing out on a quarter-final place, O'Shea appeared to have enjoyed his time in the Olympic Village - sharing his adventures to all his Instagram followers online.
