  • The unusual nickname for Camilla unveiled

PRINCE GEORGE, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have a unique nickname for their grandmother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall - and it isn't nan or grandma.

Camilla, who has five grandchildren of her own, plus the Cambridge kids and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archie and Lili, is referred to as 'Gaga'.

The unusual nickname was revealed by the Duchess herself when she met Lady Gaga during the 2016 Royal Variety Performance.

Shortly after the birth of Prince George, the Duchess also told the Daily Mail: "My own grandchildren call me GaGa.

"I don’t know if it’s because they think I am! It is funny but is still very sweet.”

  • How to know if the Queen's travelling inside her Bentley

If you’re lucky enough to spot the royal Bentley, the flags onboard the bonnet depict whether Her Majesty is travelling inside.

The traditional “flying B” is replaced with her mascot of St George slaying the dragon, or a lion if she’s in Scotland.

The car is always escorted by marked and unmarked Royal Protection Squad vehicles, as well as local police vehicles and motorcycle riders.

  • PM to praise Queen’s ‘tireless service’

Boris Johnson will praise the Queen's "tireless service" as she becomes the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee on Sunday.

He will be required to make a statement under oath to the legal representatives for his accuser.

Lawyers representing Ms Giuffre will be flying in from the US to interview Andrew in person, in London, as part of his ongoing civil case.

According to sources, the date was agreed by both parties following a lengthy agreement over their scheduling issues.

  • Prince George’s ‘hilariously inconvenient’ gifts

PRINCE George's godmother has revealed how she honours Princess Diana with her choice of gifts for him.

Julia Samuel was speaking on podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day and explained how her late friend started the joke - which has now become tradition.

The 62-year-old, who is one of seven godparents to the future King, was a close friend of Diana and is the founder patron of the charity Child Bereavement UK.

Julia, a psychotherapist, paediatric counsellor and mum-of-four, explained how she always chooses the gift which is the most inconvenient but hilarious - in terms of noise and time needed to construct.

She says: "I do to George what [Diana] did to us. Which is give impossible toys which are really noisy, take a lot of making."

Adding how it's normally Prince William who bears the brunt, she says: "I come in slightly tipped by the size of the present that William then has to spend days putting together.

"And then put all the machinery together and it makes awful tooting noises and lights flashing and all of that. That makes me laugh and it makes George laugh."

  • 70th anniversary at 'extremely difficult time' for Firm

A royal commentator has said that the jubilee will be a difficult time for the monarch.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told : "The Queen is a person of deep religious faith.

"She took an oath when she was 21 in 1947 to serve her whole life and she meant every word of it.

As she reflects on the success of her uniquely long reign as the 70th anniversary of her accession approaches, the two figures who have particularly inspired her, her father and Prince Philip, will be in her thoughts.

"Her father was also dutiful and conscientious and did his duty superbly, especially in wartime. Churchill’s wreath on behalf of the nation read 'for gallantry' at his funeral".

  • Diana would have 'loved' George

Julia Samuel was a close friend of Diana and is the founder patron of the charity Child Bereavement UK.

Julia spoke on podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day and said how much Diana would have "loved" her eight-year-old grandson.

She addded: ";He is amazing. He’s funny and feisty and cheeky and God [Diana] would have loved him so much. That is heartbreaking for all of them."

  • Princess Eugenie's celebrations next week

The Queen isn't only one with a reason to celebrate this month, as February will bring an important anniversary for Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank.

This time last year, Eugenie gave birth to their baby son August, who will celebrate his first birthday later this month.

For any new parents, a baby's first birthday is a big deal.

However, no plans for baby August's first birthday have been revealed yet.

  • Kate & William accidentally spark Six Nations argument

Writing on Twitter, they wrote: "Here we go! #GuinessSixNations

"Wishing the best of luck to @WelshRugbyUnion, @EnglandRugby and to all nations as they kick off their campaigns today - looking forward to a fantastic tournament!"

Many of her cars are also of a certain vintage - and she was recently seen behind the wheel of a five-door Jag she uses to ferry about her corgis.

Carefully stashed away are two incredibly rare £10million Bentley limousines that will likely make an appearance for her Platinum Jubilee year.

Here's everything you need to know about the stylish vehicles.

  • Meghan & Harry's wedding 'most influential royal wedding'

The research, by creative resource , calculated global Google searches and Instagram hashtags for 21 of the most popular royal weddings in the world, to see which one had the biggest influence at all.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding was the most influential royal wedding of all time

    • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding is officially the most influential royal wedding in the world, with more Google searches and Instagram hashtags combined than any other royal couple in the world
    • Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding is the second most influential, pulling in double the combined searches and hashtags than the average for all royal couples on the list
    • The weddings of Kate Middleton and Prince William, and Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong Jones were also high on the list of most influential
  • Inside the Queen's Bentley: Bond-style security features

Unsurprisingly, perhaps the most important features are the safety measures used to protect the Queen during high-profile events.

If a motor is designated a 'state car', it has to be completely safe from any outside threat.

The cabin in both of the limos is air-tight to ensure Her Majesty is property protected from gas attacks or explosions.

The cars also travel on Kevlar-reinforced tyres to make sure that, even if the tyres are shot out, they can get to safety.

Amazingly, despite the whopping cost of the Bentleys, they're not the most expensive royal vehicles in use.

Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei, has the costliest car.

Rolls-Royces of any age or condition are generally sought after, but the Sultan’s Silver Spur II takes that to a new level. Customised especially for his wedding day, it’s plated in 24-carat gold and has an estimated value of £10.4m.

  • Prince Harry on possibly 'losing' with Meghan Markle

Speaking in May 2021 on a Apple TV+ docuseries with Oprah Winfrey, The Me You Can't See, Harry opened up about his mental health struggles and how he feared he would 'lose' wife Meghan Markle after an argument they had.

He said: "I saw GPs. I saw doctors. I saw therapists. I saw alternative therapists. I saw all sorts of people, but it was meeting and being with Meghan.

"I knew that if I didn't do the therapy and fix myself that I was going to lose this woman who I could see spending the rest of my life with."

  • Who is Chris Von Aspen pictured with Prince Andrew?

Christine Von Aspen, was born Christine Vonaspern in a small town in America's deep south, The  reported in 2007.

According to quotes from her dad in the report, she studied music technology at Belmont - a small Christian college in Nashville with aspirations of becoming a singer.

Von Aspen then moved to Hollywood, as friends compared her voice to that of early 2000's star Joss Stone.

However, she couldn't make a living as a singer and instead worked as a graphic designer while she dated producer Brad Holmes, 13 years her senior.

A friend of the pair told the Evening Standard at the time: "If social climbing was a sport, she'd be an Olympic gold medallist."

When she met Andrew, she was reportedly dating French Foreign Legion Officer Bruno Phillipponant - who was reported to be the Mission Officer to Prince Albert II at the time.

  • How Camilla went from marriage-wrecker to our future Queen

This is a comment piece by Ingrid Seward

THE Queen’s moving statement marks the culmination of the extraordinary relationship between Charles and Camilla.

After years of public ridicule, and with the ghost of Diana forever on their shoulders, the royal couple have finally been handed the ultimate seal of approval by the Queen herself.

It’s a remarkable rehabilitation for the woman who a large proportion of the public blamed for the end of a royal fairytale. Far from being “the other woman”, Camilla has cemented her place at the heart of the Royal Family.

The Queen said it is her sincere wish that when “in the fullness of time” Charles becomes King, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort. “I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me,” she says, “as she (Camilla) continues her own loyal service”.

That is praise indeed from the 95-year-old monarch and confir-mation of a friendship between the two women that the world knows very little about.

Camilla was once in the inner circle of royalty as her former husband Andrew Parker Bowles’ father, Derek, was great friends with the Queen Mother. They frequently stayed at Birkhall, the-then Queen Mother’s Scottish retreat, where Camilla was treated by the royal matriarch as “one of us”.

Camilla could never have imagined, as she lunched in the cosy dining room, that one day it would be her Scottish home, too. When she married Charles in 2005, she thought she would merely lend support to the man she loved.

  • 'Camilla will be known as Queen Consort'

In a statement to mark her accession, the Queen told the nation: “I remain eternally grateful for, and humbled by, the loyalty and affection that you continue to give me.

“And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me.

“And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”

  • Events and initiatives will take place throughout the year

The royal website states: “On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.

“To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year, culminating in a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June.

“The bank holiday will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone.

“The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.”

  • How will Junes celebrations unfold?

On Thursday June 2, 2022, the first day of the bank holiday, more than 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians will come together in the traditional Trooping the Colour Parade to mark The Queen's official birthday, usually held on the second Saturday in June.

On Friday, June 3, 2022, a service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, June 4, a special live concert of the "world's biggest entertainment stars" from Buckingham Palace will be broadcast.

Audience tickets will be available to apply for via ballot, released in February.

And communities are encouraged to celebrate The Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday in their neighbourhoods.

  • Heartbreaking reason the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee isn’t being celebrated on the official date

THE Queen is celebrating a staggering 70 years on the throne this year and there is an impressive line-up planned for the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June.

Her Majesty, 95, officially ascended the throne on February 6, 1952, but there is a heartbreaking reason why we aren’t celebrating it on the official date.

The Queen started her reign after her father, King George VI, passed away in his sleep at the age of 56.

He died from ill health, following a lung operation from which he failed to recover.

Elizabeth ascended the throne on the same day, and the Queen chooses to not celebrate the date for this reason and instead honours her father.

The Queen also celebrated her Gold and Diamond Jubilees, months after her dad died.

It is said Buckingham Palace and the government thought it would also be better to hold the Jubilee celebrations until June, when it is warmer.

This also means that the extra bank holiday can be easily added to make a four-day extravaganza.
