Stacey Solomon reveals daring new plum hair colour which fans love – and it only cost her £5

SHE'S one of the biggest mum role models out there.

And Stacey Solomon has delighted fans once again by revealing a daring new plum hair colour - which only cost her £5.

The mum-of-four took to Instagram to showcase her new locks after dyeing them in honour of fiance Joe Swash's 40th birthday.

"I would usually go to my hairdresser to dye my hair but she’s on maternity too and I made the decision this morning so no one was available,” she explained.

“I’ve been thinking about it for ages and Joe booked a meal for us today so I just thought ‘sod it’ and went for it. It’s a little bright but I think I love it."

Stacey used the L'Oréal Paris’ Preference P37 Permanent Hair Dye 1 Kit, which retails for around £5 when on offer, and also offered her tips for dyeing hair at home without making a mess.

"Don’t wear white, do it inside the shower, don’t let it spill on your eyebrow and leave it there, it will dye that too," she advised.

The look isn't vastly different from Stacey's previous red hair, but has more of a purple tinge.

Upon dyeing her hair red last year, Stacey told fans on Instagram: "I may have had a little moment and decided to dye my hair bright red before we went…

"I haven’t been out and felt like I’ve looked human for a long time so I may have gone overboard but lashes didn’t feel like enough. You only live once.

"And I don’t want to live it always looking like a foot. 99% of the time i don’t mind but ever so often it’s nice to feel nice."

And after Stacey debuted her plum hair on Instagram, fans flocked to Twitter to express their admiration.

"Stacey just keeps getting better and better looking! Loving the new hair," one fan wrote, while another added: "Stunning! Love the plum colour."

"This is so beautiful," a third fan gushed.

While Stacey dyed her hair herself, make-up artist Penelope Ryan was on hand to do her hair and make-up for a photoshoot on Thursday.
