Best Beauty Advent Calendars 2024
Liberty 2024 Advent Calendar
Liberty 2024 Advent Calendar, £260 (worth £1,205)
Pros: Great range of products, stunning packaging, incredible value
Cons: Price, it’s quite big so where to put it could be an issue
Rating: 5/5
Invest in this gorgeous advent calendar and you’ll receive products worth a total of £1,205!
The entire calendar is a thing of beauty, with rich Liberty prints, sturdy drawers and gold embossing.
There are 28 beauty treats hidden in the drawers and no less than 18 of them are full-size, which has to be among the most I’ve seen this year.
Skincare, fragrance, body care and make-up, it’s all here from a wealth of well-known names and a few cult brands you might not have heard of.
They include REN, Paula’s Choice, Aromatherapy Associates, Philip Kingsley, Lisa Eldridge and Davines among many others.
While the Liberty Advent Calendar isn’t cheap, I think it’s absolutely worth the investment, either as a gift to yourself, your partner, lucky family member or a friend.
An advent calendar is the perfect opportunity to try something new, as well as indulge in old favourites and this one is chock full of premium brands, as well as being incredible value for money.

Beauty Bay Advent Calendar
Beauty Bay Advent Calendar 2024, £100 (worth £345)
Rating: 5/5
Pros: Variety of products, great mix of high street and high-end brands, full size and travel size, some windows contain two products, compact design
Cons: Some duplicate products
Beauty Bay pleasantly surprised me with this year’s beauty Advent calendar, which includes a trio of Beauty Bay own-brand products, as well as other reputable labels and viral products too.
Beauty Bay has proved Advent calendars do not need to be all glitz and sparkles but can include timeless or more current products too: this bundle features must-haves across Korean beauty, which is hugely on-trend, as well as products to create the nostalgic 90s smokey eye.
For example, the eyeshadow palette features nude tones rather than vibrant forest green, plums and reds or iridescent hues like other Advent calendars.
Meanwhile, the blusher and lip products are classic pink or red tones, which you can easily wear outside of the festive period too.
What I love about this bundle is it features viral products such as Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, as well as Bubble’s moisturiser – all of which are products that are on trend but have been known to sell out due to popular demand.
Beauty Bay’s calendar may span across 25 days, but behind the 25 doors are 27 products, which range from skincare, bodycare and haircare to make-up, cosmetics and fragrance – it's safe to say no stone has been unturned.
Another factor that impressed me about this Advent calendar is there is no extra padding, tissue paper or shreds of paper to fill the box, which can be quite wasteful.
The Advent is compact, and similar to Glossybox as it features pull-out drawers.
If I had to find fault, it would be the packaging is very on-brand for Beauty Bay with the purple design, but it is simplistic and not the most festive design.
There are also some duplicate products, and while I don’t mind this for some items – I would have preferred only one setting spray as I often don’t get through one a month.
However, if you know someone who loves everything beauty, this bundle will score you major brownie points, and if you’re buying this Advent calendar for yourself then you will be more than impressed.

Beauty Pie Super Beauty Holiday Haul
Beauty Pie Super Beauty Holiday Haul, £175 for members or £323 for non-members (worth £645)
Pros: Worth £645, all full size products, housed in a beauty bag so no unnecessary packaging, great range of products across skincare, hair and makeup
Cons: Quite expensive for non-members (£323), only 15 products rather than 24
Rating: 4.5/5
The Beauty Pie Super Beauty Holiday Haul set exudes luxury while also being amazing value for money. From the sturdy, but ever so chic silver bag, to the full size beautifully packaged products, this is an advent calendar like no other.
As a self-confessed skincare and makeup fanatic, Beauty Pie is a brand that is a must-try, so when I got the chance to test its 2024 advent iteration, I jumped at the chance.
House in a silver beauty bag, this advent calendar doesn’t fall in the traditional open-a-door advent category, it's got more of a gift feel to it - which is great for treating someone special (or of course, yourself).
Featuring an array of products across haircare, makeup and skincare the 15-product strong set is perfect for those that value quality. Each product is full size which is a huge tick in the box, as sometimes minis go unused unless I’m travelling.
There are some must-try products including the Super Healthy Hair™ Always On™ Leave-In Conditioning Treatment, the Wrap Star™ Tubing Mascara and there's even a gorgeous scented candle.
Worth £645, members can get this advent calendar alternative for £175 which is great value for money - it's worth highlighting that you can get a for the membership meaning you can get your hands on it for less straight away.
It's a little pricier for non-members, setting you back £323 - but the quality of this set really does make it worth every penny.

Liberty Men’s Advent Calendar
Men's Advent Calendar, £245 (worth £701) from Liberty London
Pros: Amazing range of products, includes big names such as Creed and Acqua di Parma, saves £456 compared to buying items individually, doesn't fall into the trap of over-masculising the products or design, beautiful box, handy product guide
Cons: Lots of hair products mean it's not ideal for bald men, much poorer saving than the brand's Beauty Advent Calendar, day 25 is disappointing, no significant differences from last year
Rating: 4.5/5
The men's version of Liberty's iconic Advent calendar has been going for a couple of years now, and it's the perfect luxurious grooming treat.
Filled with products worth £701, it's priced at £245 – an amazing saving of £456 (though not as much as the brand's beauty version).
Our reviewer, Kieran Ahuja, was impressed by the balance of well-known brands like Acqua di Parma and Dermalogica with lesser-known gems such as Granado and Escentric Molecules.
'If you're looking for a luxury men's Advent calendar, there's no point looking further than the Liberty Men's Calendar,' he raves.
The design of the calendar (identical to last year's edition) is based on the facade of the iconic Liberty store in London and is the perfect size to place on your mantelpiece or a side table.
One slight complaint is there may be a few too many haircare products – but despite this, the overall selection of skincare, grooming and fragrance items makes it well worth the price.

LookFantastic 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar
LookFantastic Iconic Beauty Advent Calendar, £100 (worth £565)
Pros: Huge selection of skincare, make-up, hair and body care, worth £565, gifts are ideal for sharing, doesn’t double up on same product types
Cons: Fewer products than some competitors, flimsy drawers, some gifts more exciting than others
Rating: 4.5/5
This much sought-after beauty calendar combines luxe and budget brands hidden inside 25 drawers.
There’s a great selection of products spanning make-up, skincare, hair styling and body care, with nine full-size and the rest travel-size, which always come in handy for the gym, or for trying new products without shelling out for the full-size version.
Inside you’ll find Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, MAC Cosmetics Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick, Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59 Perfume Mist, Medik8 Press and Glow Tonic, and The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum, along with many other fab finds.
Overall, I think the calendar contains a great balance between old favourites and bestselling newcomers and while you could keep it all to yourself (and why not) you could also gift some of the treats to family and friends so you spread the joy.
This is one of the most affordable beauty Advents out there and gives some of the biggest savings so I definitely think it’s worth the investment.
You’ll be luxuriating in these festive treats for months.

Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2024
Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2024, £235 (worth £1,100)
Pros: Multiple products inside some drawers, quality packaging that could be reused, a fab selection of products, receive a £10 Cult Beauty voucher for buying
Cons: Packaging not particularly Christmassy, savings slightly less than some other calendars, packaging recyclable
Rating: 4.5/5
This year there are two versions of the Cult Beauty Advent calendar – Curated With Love and Scent With Love – largely featuring the same gifts.
I tested Scent With Love and it comes with 19 full-size goodies to discover in a collection of 45 products – and they’re an impressive bunch.
Niche brands rub shoulders with viral bestsellers, including Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief Serum, Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment, Natasha Denona Baby Love Palette and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand in Pink Pop.
Many of the drawers contain more than one product – hence the total of 45 – with Christmas Day bursting with seven beauty treats!
This is definitely one of the best-curated beauty Advents I’ve seen this year and with a total product value of £1,100, it’s not cheap to buy – but it is brilliant value.

Glossybox Advent Calendar
Beauty Advent Calendar 2024, £85 (Worth £585) from Glossybox
Pros: Saving of over £500 if you're a Glossybox subscriber, more affordable than some alternatives, impressive selection of brands
Cons: Heavy, questionable selection of colours
Rating: 4.5/5
If you're a fan of Glossybox subscription boxes, the 2024 Glossybox Advent Calendar is a beauty lover's dream.
Offering over £585 worth of products, it’s packed with full-sized and deluxe minis from brands including e.l.f, Aveeno, Medik8 and Kate Somerville.
It's priced at £85 (or £70 for subscribers) making it a seriously great deal – Beauty Box subscribers save a massive £515.
Our reviewer, Maisie Bovingdon tried it out and had only good things to say.
'The Glossybox beauty advent calendar is one of the more affordable Christmas countdowns, and I've got to say it's one of my favourites.
'I have received the calendar for a number of years, but this year's edition is hands down bigger and better than any I have seen before.'

MAC 2024 Advent Calendar 2024
Beauty Advent Calendar, £180 (worth £439)
Pros: An impressive 17 full-sized products and a decorative packaging that's new for this year
Cons: Too much of a focus on lip products, with five lipsticks and 10 lip-related items in total
Rating: 4.5/5
MAC’s beauty Advent calendar has returned for 2024, filled with 24 products including an impressive 17 full-sized items.
There are mostly makeup products inside with a few skin prep items thrown in, and while the shade choices seem focused on creating glamorous party season looks, there are a few everyday products including a mascara and a primer.
The lack of base makeup means that every product is suitable for every skin tone which is great.
The packaging has definitely had an upgrade for 2024. The luxe-looking gold boxes stacked to look like presents will make the perfect festive decoration, and unlike some beauty advent calendars, the design is pretty compact so it won’t take up too much space.
There are 10 lip products inside, which is great if you’re looking to try out some new colours, although I was surprised to see no sign of Velvet Teddy despite being MAC’s most iconic shade.
While lipsticks have definitely dominated the advent, there is a nice selection of products for the whole face including eyeshadows, a brow gel and a full-size MACStack mascara.

Avant Advent Calendar 2024
Avant advent calendar, £99 (worth £807)
Pros: A selection of luxury beauty products suitable for all skin types, a great option skincare fanatics.
Cons: Only 12 products included
Rating: 4.5/5
I tried out Avant’s beauty advent calendar, and I was seriously impressed with the selection of high end products stored in the pull-out drawers.
While some calendars include items that you’ll either use or not at all, everything included feels suitable for everyone, with moisturisers, eye creams, lip scrubs and hair creams.
Avant knows how to nail anti-ageing products, so I was glad to see the brand’s Firming Eye Cream, Vitamin C Reset Mask and Advanced Bio Restorative Superfood Facial Oil inside.
This year’s calendar is inspired by dreams, and scanning the QR code on the box will unlock details about each products relation to the theme, along with discount codes for select products.
The Advent calendar definitely ticks the boxes when it comes to gifting, but I’m sure most beauty fans would be tempted to keep Avant’s advent calendar for themselves.

Rituals Classic Advent Calendar
Rituals Classic Advent Calendar, £91.90 (worth £166.90)
Pros: Festive packaging, varied fragrances (not all just festive), unique and rare gifts inside, unisex contents, daily descriptions behind each door explaining the product and its function
Cons: Heavy, majority of items are miniature, expensive in comparison to others, some duplicate products
Rating: 4/5
The Rituals Classic Advent Calendar offers a luxurious way to indulge throughout the holiday season.
Priced at £91.90, it's the most affordable of Rituals’ , while still delivering excellent value with a saving of £75.
Packed with 24 of the brand’s bestsellers, it includes a variety of body scrubs, lotions, shower foams, haircare and more.
Our reviewer, Maisie Bovingdon, praised the festive packaging and loved Rituals' thoughtful touches, like the holy lotus-infused Micellar water.

Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar
Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar, £250 (worth £1,200)
Pros: Excellent selection of bestselling products, saving 79% on buying separately, some days have more than one product, recyclable packaging
Cons: Bright design not to everyone’s taste, packaging rather flimsy, paper boxes not very strong
Rating: 4/5
While the packaging is rather marmite with its full-on festive print, there are no doubts when it comes to the contents – this is absolutely full of amazing beauty treats and is one of the best-curated Advents I have come across. Ever.
You’ll find 35 products tucked away in here and though the paper boxes are a little flimsy, it’s what’s inside that counts – skincare, make-up, hair and body brands that have set Tik Tok alight.
There’s a box to open for every day in December up until Christmas Day itself, which as you’ll have noticed means that some days you’ll receive more than one gift.
What’s more, 23 of them are full-size!
Must-haves include Ultra Violette Queen Screen SPF50+ Lumimising Serum, Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 Perfume Mist, Color Wow Extra Strength Dream Coat and Drunk Elephant La La Retro Whipped Cream.
It’s a great way to try out new products and treat yourself to old favourites, and though it’s expensive you’re saving yourself £950 on the cost of buying all the products separately, so I think it’s well worth the money.
As a bonus, the packaging is also recyclable.
Space NK has included many of its bestselling brands in this calendar and it’s definitely one to keep for yourself, there’s so many exciting goodies to try.

Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest Of Love
Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest Of Love, £170 (worth £243)
Pros: Worth £243, beautiful high-quality box that can be reused for make-up storage, good variety of skincare and make-up products
Cons: Products mainly mini size, just 12 days, missing key hero products, such as Flawless Filter
Rating: 4/5
I think this has to be the most searched-for beauty Advent calendar every year and as a make-up and skincare fanatic, I couldn’t wait to get hold of it.
This is by far the most luxurious beauty calendar I’ve received – I was blown away by the packaging, which is a shimmering mix of red and gold with star and heart-shaped handles adorning the drawers.
The box is definitely one to keep and is sturdy enough to store make-up or jewellery.
I’m a big Charlotte Tilbury fan so had high hopes for the content and it delivered on most of my expectations, though I was surprised not to see Flawless Filter in there.
The mainly mini sizes were also a little disappointing but overall, I would say it’s value for money and if you’re keen to try a range of the brand’s products this is a great way to do so.
Though there are just 12 products in the calendar, it strikes a great balance between make-up and skincare, with bestsellers such as Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Original, the award winning Charlotte’s Magic Cream and Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir.
This is undeniably a must-have for beauty lovers.

Boots 24 Days of Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar
Boots 24 Days of Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar, £99
Pros: One of the most affordable beauty calendars on the market, compact design, good balance of make-up, skin, hair, and body care products
Cons: Half of its contents are travel or sample-size, basic unfestive design, inner boxes are flimsy and tricky to remove
Rating: 3.5/5
The Boots 24 Days of Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar is an excellent choice for beauty fans seeking an affordable option.
At £99, it delivers a value of over £360, featuring popular brands like Fenty, Sol de Janeiro, and Laura Mercier.
Each of the 24 boxes contains a beauty surprise including skincare, makeup and pampering products.
According to our reviewer, Mia Lyndon, the products inside are “posher than you'd expect,” with highlights like a cult perfume and world-famous body cream.
And though its minimalist design may not feel super festive, its product lineup more than makes up for it.

Pros: Includes make-up products as well as tools such as a brush and beauty blender, a variety of timeless shades, affordable
Cons: No skincare included, no mascara included, excess of lip products

PrettyLittleThing Advent Calendar 2024
Beauty Advent Calendar, £55 (worth £195)
Pros: A good mix of products from brands including Bondi Sands, Carmex and Starskin
Cons: Lots of the similar products to those included in last year’s calendar
Rating: 3/5
PrettyLittleThing’s Advent calendar has a mix of skincare and makeup products, along with some handy everyday beauty essentials. As an avid fake tanner, I was impressed to see items from Bondi Sands, St Tropez and Tanologist included.
Items from other popular brands are also in the mix, including a classic Carmex lip balm and Star Skin eye masks.
The brands included are very similar to last year’s Advent calendar, although the products do vary slightly, so you won’t be gifted with the exact same items.
It’s always nice to see items that can be used daily in an Advent calendar, an eyelash curler, makeup sponges and hair clips are all essentials that I’ll be getting plenty of use out of.

Which is the best beauty advent calendar for 2024?
All the advent calendars listed above are good value, as they are worth more than their price tag, which I am very much on board with.
Shoppers should look out for those with the most full-size items to get the best value, and also for included money off vouchers if they are regular shoppers, or ways to redeem points accrued from shopping at the retailer over the year.
In my honest opinion Lookfantastic and Space NK's beauty advent calendars never disappoint
In my honest opinion, and never disappoint, as they include lots of trending products, some of which I may have tried and need a top-up of.
They also feature entirely new brands or products I get to try for the first time or sell-out items I can't get my hands on.
and are also pretty epic, and if you have the money are well worth investing in.
Are beauty advent calendars worth the money?
In my opinion, yes, beauty advent calendars are always worth the money.
Part of the reason advent calendars are hugely popular is because you can enjoy hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds worth of beauty products for a fraction of the price.
In total honesty, I will never spend £1,000 in one full shopping spree, and I don't know many people who would.
But splurging £50 to £250 on a beauty calendar bundle is more appealing and purse friendly.
I also think beauty advent calendars are worth the money because it makes getting my hands on sell-out products easier and stress-free
I also think beauty advent calendars are worth the money because it makes getting my hands on sell-out products easier and stress-free.
There have been many times I have paid full price for a product and not quite liked it, or the colour didn't match my skin tone.
But with an advent calendar that is not as bitter a pill to swallow when you have another 11 or 23 products to play with.
When do beauty advent calendars start going on sale?
Most calendars start going on sale in September or October, meaning that many are already available to shop – and some have even sold out.
If you have your heart set on a beauty advent calendar in particular, make sure you keep an eye on this guide, and shop your favourite asap to ensure you don't miss out.
Can you pre-order beauty advent calendars?
Yes, you can pre-order or sign up to the waitlist to be alerted every step of the way, including when the beauty advent calendar is available to shop.
They are known to sell out fast, which is why a pre-order option is a genius invention and an option I would strongly recommend beauty fans use.
A pre-order, or joining a waitlist, does not mean you need to buy the advent calendar there and then.
It simply means you will receive updates on when the advent calendar officially goes on sale and often are given priority access to buy.

Do you open 1 or 24 first on an advent calendar?
Some may be a little confused over when to start the advent calendar, and what doors to open when.
Start at number 1 on December 1 and make your way up.
Occasionally, there's an extra special treat under the 24th door, so you'll want to save that until last, or your advent calendar may go up to Christmas Day, which is even better.
In some cases, brands may launch a 12-day of Christmas advent calendar, such as Charlotte Tilbury. In this instance you are required to open a door every other day in the run up to 25 December, just to heighten the anticipation.
While you can open a door every day, or other day, some may want to bank the entire calendar until 25th December. While this is not the intention, if you would like more presents to open on Christmas Day, who am I to stop you?
Will beauty advent calendars go on sale for Black Friday 2024?
Beauty advent calendars are already a huge saving in comparison to shopping every item in the bundle separately.
But if you are looking to save even more, some advent calendars have been known to be included in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
In most cases, calendars will have sold out by the time Black Friday comes around, which typically falls on late November.
If there is a particular calendar you have your sights set on, I would strongly advise not waiting until the Black Friday sale as you don't want to miss out.
Black Friday discounts on advent calendars are ideal for early Christmas gifts as the price is usually dramatically lowered to shift stock before December.
