You’re never ‘too old’ to wear a mini – just style it wisely, says Jane Moore

WHEN are you considered “too old” to wear a mini?

In my book, never. Just make sure you choose the shape, style and accessories wisely.

I adore this dress because not only is it right on trend when it comes to the length, it embraces a Sixties shape and fabric pattern too, says Jane Moore

You won’t find my knees exposed unless I’m on a remote beach but when the days turn chillier and I can tug on a pair of thick tights, I love wearing shorter styles, first introduced to the masses by Mary Quant in the Swinging Sixties.

I adore this dress because not only is it – again – right on trend when it comes to the length, it embraces a Sixties shape and fabric pattern too.

It does not crease, either, so what’s not to love?

I have teamed it with thick black tights, but you could also try navy, and the knee-high boots are also in fashion right now.

I have chosen a burgundy pair to pick out a colour in the dress, but navy or black would work.

Get the look: Dress, £35.99, Mango; boots, £49.50, M&S; tights, £3, Primark
