Bargain hunter reveals tip to get freebies from Homebase & he picked up a £250 cabinet

A SAVVY bargain hunter has revealed how he picked up a £250 cabinet without paying a penny - and it's actually a pretty easy tip.

The eagle-eyed shopper popped into his local Homebase store where he spotted the stunning white shelving unit before sharing his incredible find online.

He revealed that the cabinet was outside the store, presumably getting thrown out, so he asked the security guard if it was free, and to his surprise, it was.

"Always worth keeping an eye outside your local Homebase in case they’re getting rid of anything interesting," he wrote in the Facebook group.

"Usually it’s just old bits of wood and soil but today I spotted this wee beauty."

And added: "Verrry little damage and fits in perfectly with dining room and also 100% free so today can most definitely go down as a good day."
