Speaking in a podcast last week, the Duke of Sussex, 36, criticised his dad Prince Charles' parenting and compared life as part of the royal family to living in a "zoo".

He even said his royal life was similar to The Truman Show - a Jim Carey movie where a man’s life is controlled and broadcast to the world.

The Duke of Sussex claimed his dad “suffered” due to his upbringing by the Queen and Prince Philip, then “treated me the way he was treated”.

The comments about Prince Charles come as Harry remains estranged from his family, including his brother Prince William and dad Prince Charles, according to reports.

that he sounds like a man "desperately trying to convince himself he's found happiness" - although he doesn't think he has.

"I believe that, despite Harry's insistence that he's happy, he's far from it. I don't think he or Meghan are happy,' he told . "Content people don't create arguments and criticise people - content people want to make amends."

The royal expert also mentioned how Harry's interviews speaking out against his family are a way for him to "convince himself he has found happiness".

"I think what we see and hear from these interviews is a man who is desperately trying to convince himself that he has found happiness, and he has been through it all and reached the other side - that he's finally free," he told the publication.

"I don't think that's the case. He and Meghan aren't happy or free. I don't think his move to LA has solved anything."

The royal expert believes that the Duke's anger is a result of losing his mum. Princess Diana, in 1997 when he was just 12 years old.

Duncan said he will never be "truly happy" until he works through it on his own and he has now "made the royals his enemies".

And that he doesn't believe Harry is in a position to "preach" about mental health issues and how to cope when he's very "clearly in the very midst" of his own journey.

Duncan pointed out that Harry "stands for kindness and helping those suffering with mental health" but he is "causing pain to his own family".

The royal expert previously revealed that Harry is "regretful" about his tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, even saying that he might regret the "decision to leave the Royal Family" altogether.

Meanwhile, following Harry's comments about America's First Amendment on the Dax Shepard podcast Armchair Expert on Thursday which angered many American's, Duncan said he appears to be burning bridges "left, right and centre".
