TAP TO TIDY

Woman gets her limescale-covered tap sparkling in no time using a 2p coin

NO MATTER how often we clean our taps at home, dreaded limescale and grime is bound to build up.

And desperate for a solution for her dirty dilemma, one woman took to Facebook after a series of failed cleaning attempts, only to discover the magic of a 2p coin.

Posting a snap of her limsecale-covered kitchen tap, she wrote: "Whats best to clean this off kitchen taps?"

She admitted to trying The Pink Stuff, a widely praised cleaning product, but had failed to get her kitchen tap sparkling.

The suggestions came in thick and fast with lemon juice, vinegar and limescale remover among them.

However, it was the humble 2p coin that prevailed after many suggested using it to scrape the tap clean.

"I found the 2pence coin brilliant," one person said.

And another agreed: "2 pence - removes it really well!"

One person questioned: "How do you use a 2pence to clean it?"

To which someone replied: "Just wet it and rub it on. You’ll be amazed."
