The Duke and Duchess were said to be guests of honour at the free event organised by the poetry organisation Get Lit.

Posting a screenshot of Harry and Meghan's surprise appearance on Instagram, the couple are pictured smiling at the other members of the group who were all aspiring poets aged between 13 and 19.

Describing it as the "most epic experience" in Get Lit's history, the organisers revealed that Meghan "shared some of her favourite lines" of poetry with the group.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry was said to have shown a keen "interest" in poetry during the virtual event.

  • 2021 'CRITICAL YEAR FOR HARRY AND WILLIAM'

This year "is a critical year for Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship," says Tina Wilson, a leading relationship expert.

She told The Sun Online: "2020 was a turbulent year for the Royal family, as well as, worldwide events making for an easy distraction for not healing their tensions.

"That being said, it has given them space to let things cool down which can only be a good thing."

  • SECOND BABY PREDICTION FOR MEGHAN MARKLE

Meghan Markle is predicted to make "a pregnancy announcement" in 2021, predicts .

Its psychics add: "Meghan will spearhead a very high-profile campaign for woman's rights, especially focusing on domestic violence and abuse.

"The couple will also focus more on mental health awareness and Meghan may very well take up the post of a regular columnist to a high-profile publication.

"2021 is a time for new beginnings for the young Royals and many will be surprised at how powerful they’ll be in changing and empowering the lives of others."

  • PSYCHIC WORLD PREDICTS EMPOWERING OF MEGHAN

PsychicWorld.com has predicted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will "grow from strength to strength in 2021".

"Meghan may bring out a range of children's books that will be empowering in their format," the website adds.

In 2019, The Sun suggested that Meghan was in the throes of writing her first book.

She was said back then to be considering possible options, with the favourite being a children’s book focusing on her love of animals, including her dogs.

If, as predicted by Psychic World, this does happen, it would seem likely any profits would be donated to charity.

  • PRINCE HARRY IS DEVELOPING AMERICAN ACCENT LIKE MEGHAN'S, EXPERT CLAIMS

Jennifer Dorman, expert sociolinguist at language learning app Babbel, analysed Archewell Audio's first podcast and claimed Harry is starting to mimic his wife's voice.

She told Cosmopolitan: "The expression ‘You guys’ comes up, an American phrase that Harry used to address listeners in both the podcast teaser and during the podcast.

"In the premiere episode, he even uses the typically American term ‘awesome’ – something which elicits a giggle from his American wife when used.

"Harry says things like ‘love always wins’ and ‘the power within us’: two very positive, uplifting phrases which many of us would associate with the optimistic attitude of our cousins over the pond."

Although Jennifer suggests Harry could be using these phrases to "be understood better by the American press", she also claims his language has been influenced by how much time he is spending with his wife.

  • THROWBACK PHOTO OF MEGHAN FROM UNIVERSITY DAYS

An old university photo of Meghan Markle has resurfaced online - showing the Duchess of Sussex taking part in a dance marathon for charity.

In 2000, Meghan was a 19-year-old student at North Western University - where she got a double major in theatre and international studies.

For the Royal Wedding in 2018, her former dance group Gilda's Club Chicago shared a throwback photo of the Duchess at a charity dance marathon from 20 years ago.

The cancer support group captioned the picture: "In honour of the Royal Wedding, we'd like to share this photo from the 2000 North Western Dance Marathon supporting Gilda's Club Chicago, featuring her Royal Highness."

  • NOD TO MEGHAN'S DIVORCE ON ROYAL WEDDING INVITES

Cast your mind back to 2018 and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had just announced their engagement.

And when it came to sending out their invites, there was a subtle acknowledgment that this was Meghan's time down the aisle.

The former American actress was called “Ms” Markle on the coveted invites, which contrasts to Kate Middleton having “Miss” on her 2011 invites.

The reason for this is that etiquette rules state the correct way to refer to someone who is divorced is “Ms”.

Etiquette expert William Hanson told the Sun Online: "The Royal Household, in particular The Queen, has never before acknowledged the honourific Ms, regardless of whether it was being used to signify a divorced woman or one who did not feel her marital status was of importance.

"It was first used in connection to Meghan in the November engagement announcement and since then has been used throughout the royal household’s communications, on press releases, invitations and social media.

"I would imagine Meghan herself has asked to be styled accordingly and that there is no slight intended on Prince Harry’s finance.  It is another subtle sign that the royal household is moving with the times."

  • HARRY AND WILLIAM 'WILL NEVER BE AS CLOSE', EXPERT CLAIMS

When Prince Harry announced that he was quitting the Royal Family in January, his older brother Prince William was reportedly ‘incandescent with rage’.

In December, The Sun exclusively revealed that the brothers had exchanged presents ahead of Christmas and that they'd planned to speak to each other via video calls during the festive period.

However, royal expert Katie Nicholl claims Harry and William are not as friendly as they were before Megxit.

Appearing on True Royalty TV's Royal Beat, she said: "I don't think they ever will be close in the same way that they were before.

"But I do think there have been nine months since Megxit and relations are better between them."

  • MEGHAN 'POURED PETROL ON FIRE' IN ARCHIE BIRTH CERTIFICATE DEBATE

Earlier this year, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan Markle's name had secretly been removed from Archie's birth certificate as experts speculated whether it had been in the Duke and Duchess' plans to market themselves independently of the Royal Family.

In response to the news, Meghan's spokesperson claimed the change had been made by the Palace - which the Palace later refuted.

Appearing on the podcast Pod Save the Queen, royal expert Russell Myers: "The petrol was poured on the fire by Meghan’s spokesman because they then released this statement saying that it was dictated to by the Palace, they didn't have anything to do with it, it was nothing to do with Meghan, and it was because of a set rule of protocols and that isn't true.

“The issue was it wasn’t dictated to by Buckingham Palace because at the time they had their own team at Kensington Palace who reported into Buckingham Palace and then the Palace have essentially said it was nothing to do with them, guv."

  • FUTURE ROYAL ROLES FOR HARRY AND MEGHAN ARE 'DEAD IN THE WATER', EXPERT CLAIMS

It's been a year since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quit the Royal Family - and since then, they've signed deals with Netflix and Spotify reportedly worth £142m.

So it's hardly surprising that Palace insiders aren't expecting the couple - who are now living in California - to ever return to their royal roles.

According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said any chance of them returning to royal life is "dead in the water".

They said: "It's solely down to the choices they have made. There is no anger or animosity [on behalf of the Royal Family].

"But every commercial deal that has been done by the Sussexes has been a nail in the coffin of any kind of return to royal life."

  • HARRY AND MEGHAN MAKE SURPRISE POETRY CLASS APPEARANCE OVER ZOOM

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance in a virtual poetry class to mark Black History Month.

Posting a screenshot of the class on Instagram, the Get Lit Poet account wrote: "Guess who surprised our poetry class this weekend?! It was the best weekend EVER!

"Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were magic and kind and interested in poetry!

"The Duchess even shared some of her favorite poetry lines. We are so grateful for their visit in honor of Black History Month. It goes down as most epic experience in Get Lit history!!!"

  • PRINCE HARRY IS A 'RECLUSE' IN LA, NEIGHBOUR ROB LOWE CLAIMS

He may be living in an A-List neighbourhood in California - but according to his neighbour Rob Lowe, Prince Harry has become a bit of a "recluse".

Appearing on  with James Corden, The West Wing actor, 56, claimed he'd just seen the Prince driving through their neighbourhood Montecito.

Rob claimed: "He lives about a mile from me. He's been very reclusive. Seeing him in the neighbourhood is like seeing the Loch Ness Monster, and I finally saw him. I finally saw him driving his car."

What's more, the star claimed Prince Harry has grown a ponytail in lockdown.

  • HARRY AND MEGHAN 'CONTENT' WITH INDEPENDENCE IN THE US - BUT 'LESS POPULAR IN UK'

Speaking to , royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams predicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be returning to their royal roles any time soon.

He said: "There is no sign at all that Harry and Meghan are anything other than content with their independence which also extends to financial self-sufficiency.

"They still retain their roles as President and Vice-President of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust but lost their roles as Commonwealth Youth Ambassadors under the Sandringham Agreement with the Queen.

What's more, the expert claimed Megxit will give the couple and their Archewell foundation more global influence.

He added: "Harry and Meghan are certainly less popular in the UK but they are concentrating on the US and the wider world."

  • KAMALA HARRIS COULD APPEAR ON MEGHAN AND HARRY'S PODCAST, EXPERT PREDICTS

Royal fans could expect to see Vice-President Kamala Harris appear on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Archewell podcast, a royal commentator has claimed.

Writing for The Telegraph, Rosa Silverman predicted Meghan and Kamala will collaborate on future projects - after the Vice-President supported the Duchess on Twitter last year.

A source said: "I think there’s a real feeling of solidarity between the two women."

Commenting on the prospect of Kamala making an appearance on the podcast, Rosa wrote: "It would serve as a one-off collaboration to discuss and promote some shared aims and interests before Harris becomes too busy to enter into such enterprises with figures like Meghan.

"What not to expect: A whole podcast series, with loads of unscripted jokes."

  • KATE MIDDLETON BECAME 'COLLATERAL DAMAGE' WHEN MEGHAN JOINED THE ROYAL FAMILY

Appearing on the Channel 5 documentary When The Middleton Met The Monarchy, royal expert Claudia Joseph said Kate and Meghan weren't naturally friends.

She said: "When Meghan joined the Royal Family, everyone assumed that she and Kate would become best buddies because they were both outsiders.

"But of course they are naturally very different women."

Royal insider Richard Kay added: "Kate in many ways was sort of collateral damage in all this.

"She and Meghan didn't particularly get along. The relationship was not as straightforward as the wider world thought."

  • MEGHAN'S CO-STAR PATRICK J. ADAMS OPENS UP ABOUT THEIR 'CLOSE RELATIONSHIP'

Before she married into the Royal Family, Meghan Markle was best known for her role as paralegal Rachel Zane in the hit US legal drama Suits.

Rachel's love interest in the show Mike was played by Patrick J. Adams - who attended the Royal Wedding in April 2018 with his wife Troian Bellisario.

Discussing his relationship with Meghan, Patrick told the Hollywood Reporter in 2018: "In some ways, Meghan and I were the closest because we were the youngest people in the cast and both came in with the least experience.

"We grew up together over the course of the show."

  • MEGHAN'S FIRST WEDDING DRESS

When Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in a fairytale Windsor wedding back in April 2018, the Duchess turned to French fashion house Givenchy to design her gown.

But for her first marriage to producer Trevor Engelson, Meghan's special dress was a lot more low-key.

For her 2011 wedding, the former Suits actress opted for a satin white sleeveless gown with a silver bejewelled belt.

An insider called Meghan’s first wedding in Jamaica in 2011 a “boozy beach wedding with a magical backdrop” and “an epic weekend under the sun and stars”.

  • MEGHAN GAVE THE QUEEN A 'DEAL OR NO DEAL' ULTIMATUM

Appearing on the documentary Harry & Meghan: The Next Step, The Sun's legendary royal photographer commented on Harry and Meghan's decision to carve out a "more progressive role" by stepping down as senior royals.

He said: "A senior member of the Royal Family deciding to quit and go and live abroad is pretty serious.

"A few years ago, Meghan Markle was working on a show called Deal or No Deal.

"[In March 2020, she was] a deal or no deal with the Queen of England through a speakerphone."

  • MEGHAN WOULD 'OVERSHADOW' QUEEN AND PHILIP'S BIRTHDAYS, INSIDERS CLAIM

Meghan Markle is likely to remain in the US when Prince Harry returns to the UK this summer, reports have claimed.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Harry wants to come back for The Queen and Prince Philip’s big birthdays. But it looks likely it will be just him.

"If Meghan comes back, the feeling is that it would overshadow the occasion. People would only be looking at the 'drama' of it all.

"Of course she would be welcome, but a decision not to come would postpone that headache for a while at least."

  • ARCHIE 'LOVES ZOOM CALLS WITH ROYAL FAMILY'

It's been over almost a year since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were last in the UK.

And in that time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been staying in touch with loved ones over Zoom.

Omid Scobie - who co-authored the bombshell biography Finding Freedom - claims the couple's one-year-old son Archie has been "loving" the virtual catch-ups with his family across the pond.

Speaking to , Omid said: "Archie loves being on Zoom calls with the family and the Queen has been enjoying those throughout lockdown.”

  • MEGHAN SKIPPING UK TRIP AS 'NO ONE WANTS A REPEAT OF LAST ROYAL ENGAGEMENT'

Back in March 2020, all eyes were on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they attended their final engagement as senior working royals.

The Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey was the first time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been pictured with the rest of the Royals after they dropped the Megixt bombshell in January.

Explaining why Meghan is expected to stay in the US this summer while Prince Harry returns home, an insider told the Mail: "Her Majesty made very clear when they left the UK that [they] were still much loved members of her own family and would be very welcome to attend family events.

"That still holds true. Practically, however, it comes with the need for a certain amount of diplomacy.

"There is still a great deal of distance between Harry and many family members, particularly his brother. No one wants a repeat of the Commonwealth Service."

Arriving at the service, the "Fab Four" (as they were formerly known) barely exchanged a word amid rumours of a "rift" between the couples.

  • CORONAVIRUS IS THE 'PAUSE PRINCE HARRY NEEDED'

The coronavirus pandemic is the 'pause Prince Harry needed', the author of a bombshell book on the royal said.

Omid Scobie, who co-wrote Finding Freedom, said the pandemic was useful to the prince as he, Meghan Markle and son Archie began a new life in LA.

"It's a pause he's needed, and he wouldn't have had it he'd arrived in LA and gone straight into launching the non-profit," Mr Scobie said.

  • 'CHANGE IS POSSIBLE'

Explaining their podcast in a three-minute scripted trailer, Meghan said: “One of the things my husband and I have always talked about is our passion for meeting people and hearing their stories.

“And no matter what the story they usually offer an understanding of where someone else is coming from and, in some way, remind you of a story about yourself.”

Following on from his wife, Harry added: “And that is what this story is all about.

“To bring forward different perspectives and voices that perhaps you haven’t heard before and find our common ground.

“Because when that happens change really is possible.”

  • CONTINUED

The insider added: “All the cash would go to charity at the beginning. Meghan and Harry would record then in front of a small audience.

“Spotify, who their podcast deal is with, have been investing heavily in the live space in the market and want to start taking podcasts out on the road.

“Meghan and Harry’s is not just hugely high profile but potentially hugely lucrative.”

  • LIVE ON HEIR

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are being tapped up with offers from live agents about touring their new podcast.

It would see the pair, who signed a £30million deal with Spotify this week, recording live sessions with an intimate audience.

An insider said: “Live agents have been eyeing up Meghan and Harry’s new deal with great interest.

“They have been inundated with offers about the possibility of touring the podcast when the time is right.

“The idea would be that the events would be very intimate, with tickets going for a premium.”

  • MEGHAN FELT 'MISUNDERSTOOD' IN ENGLAND

Meghan Markle "wasn't a fan of England" and felt that Brits "didn't understand her", a royal expert has sensationally claimed.

Speaking to , editor of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward said: "I think she very much felt that the British people didn’t understand her or particularly liked her.

"And I don’t think she was a great fan of England either. Her home is California and that’s where her heart is."
