Expert reveals how to stop your partner from snoring for good & all you need is a tennis ball
THERE'S nothing quite like turning in for the night only to lay there wide awake thanks to your partner's snoring.
But according to a sleep expert, a tennis ball might be the solution you're looking for - simply sew it to the back of the culprit's pyjamas.
While it sounds like absolute madness, we agree, there is some logic behind it.
Speaking on This Morning, the sleep guru explained that snoring often occurs when you sleep on your back, or at least gets worse in this position.
So by attaching a tennis ball (or something similar) to the back of the person's pjs, it'll be impossible for them to lay flat on their back - therefore, prevent snoring.
The expert explained there's been an increase of people who snore regularly during lockdown, possibly due to more time spent at a desk and less time exercising.
He explains: "When we sleep on our backs the tongue and soft palate relax, succumb to gravity and rest on the back of the throat and make a vibrating noise. The jaw also relaxes so the lips open and the mouth becomes an organic echo chamber amplifying the sound.
