SEXY, cute and a little bit naughty . . . the Playboy Bunny is one of the most enduring sex symbols in recent history.

Anyone who is anyone has posed in the famous corset, tail and rabbit ears — and we can’t get enough of it.

Over the weekend Christine McGuinness, 32, reminded us of why the look has staying power.

She oozed old-fashioned glamour in her sexy Halloween costume.

Paddy, her Top Gear presenter husband, is one lucky man.

Christine joins a long line of women who have embraced the alluring effects of the outfit.

The waitresses at boss Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Clubs were the height of sophistication and in 1964 their uniform was the first ever to be patented in the US.

Hugh had pinched the idea of sexy servers from his favourite bar, Bunny’s Tavern, during his days as a student in Illinois.

The prototype was a satin one-piece worn over a structured corset, paired with rabbit ears and a fluffy tail.

Hugh later recruited French designer Renee Blot to create the outfit we know and love today, with fishnet stockings, cuffs, a collar and bow tie.

He loved the idea of a sexy bunny in a sophisticated tuxedo — and so did some of the world’s biggest stars.

The legendary Dolly Parton became the first country singer to grace the cover of Playboy magazine in 1978 — in a set of ears, of course.

She has even said that she would consider doing it again for her upcoming 75th birthday.

Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson has posed in the magazine countless times, and finally donned the rabbit ears in 2015.

For its 60th anniversary edition in 2014, Hefner asked supermodel Kate Moss to wear full Playboy Bunny regalia in what became one of the magazine’s most iconic covers.

And who could forget the mortifying scene in 2001 movie Bridget Jones, when Renee Zellweger’s character turns up to a party dressed in the sexy outfit only to discover it is not fancy dress after all?

I was lucky enough to recreate Kate’s cover three years ago, and it’s one of my favourite pictures.

Sliding into a Playboy Bunny-style costume can make anyone feel sexy.
