Transform your home this winter with Primark’s dreamy bedroom collection and George at Asda’s soft furnishings
NESTING season is here. As we hunker down for the colder weather – and perhaps more time in lockdown – now is the time to invest in interior decor.
The pandemic has fuelled a boom in spending on decorating. A new report by found that homeowners have spent more than £4,000 on average doing up their places since March.
Our living rooms have been the focus for most spending – narrowly ahead of the bedroom and kitchen. Alistair McAuley of paint maker AkzoNobel said: “As our homes have become our sanctuaries, so decorating has moved up the demand list.”
Retailers have responded with some seriously impressive offerings for autumn-winter interiors. But with so much choice, how do you get the most from your budget? Luckily, Jenny Francis has done the hard work for you.
She has picked out the High Street brands, including H&M and Matalan, that are going above and beyond with their interior ranges.
She also has some advice about making the key pieces from each range really pop in your chosen room-for-improvement.
