THE KIDS have been back at school for nearly a month which means busy mums are in full swing.
One mum has revealed how you can get fit and lose weight at home, all while keeping you little ones entertained.
Mum-of-two and personal trainer said you can get a great work out without even having to leave your own home.
Posting to Instagram Lydia, 40, revealed that all you need is a set of stairs to burn some extra calories this weekend.
She said the workouts can be for as long as you have time for and said you will feel the benefit from even squeezing in just ten minutes.
During Lydia's video her little boy even joins in, showing that working out is also a great way to keep the kids occupied.
Speaking to The Sun Lydia said: "Being a busy mum is challenging, finding time to go to the loo in peace may seem like mission impossible, let alone putting time aside to exercise.
"When you see other mums heading to the gym for their 60 minute workout - you may gasp with despair, thinking how is this possible!"
Here are the four exercises Lydia recommends and said that moving your body for just ten minutes a day can help you feel better.
1. Elevated lunge
Lydia starts with some elevated lunges. All you need to do is head to the stairs!
Lydia said: "This will help shape your bottom and legs.
"Place your front foot on the step, keeping your core nice and tight, lower your knee down towards the floor behind you come back up to the starting position."
Do this for thirty seconds and then repeat on the other leg.
2. Split squat
Speaking to The Sun, Lydia explained the best way to complete the move.
"From a standing position rest your back foot on the stairs.
"Take a step forward as if performing a lunge, with your back foot facing down.
"Keeping your core nice and tight, lower slowly until your back knee almost touches the floor, then push back up."
Lydia said it's important to make sure that your knee is over your foot with this move.
She added: "For an extra oomph add some resistance in while performing the lunges."
Lydia added that this could be holding a pair dumbbells or even filled milk bottles or clasp a heavy book across your chest for a little weight.
"Adding in these weights will help build lean muscle and give you that toned look.
"Which ultimately helps burn more calories, even when your body is at rest."
3. One-legged thrust
Another great move to burn calories is the one-legged thrust.
Lydia does her own variation of this.
She said: "Rest your shoulders on the stairs.
"Carefully slide your bottom off the step, keeping both feet on the floor.
"Keeping your core nice and tight, raise one leg off the floor so that your hip and knee form a 90 degree angle.
"Pushing your knees out, squeeze your glutes and raise your hips until they are in line with your torso.
"Lower back down to the starting position."
Repeat on each leg for 30 seconds.
4. Jump squats
This is a nice fun exercise to finish off the work out and is bound to get your heart rate up.
Facing the stairs jump with both feet onto the first step.
Then jump back to the ground and onto the floor, making sure you land evenly and squat down to make sure there isn't too much pressure on your knees.
Posting on Instagram Lydia said: "You can get a great workout without leaving the comfort of your home.
"If you stay consistent with a daily exercise routine at home, you can see big results.
"This little workout is great for those of you who need to get the most out of a quick workout.
"This can be 10, 20 or 30 minutes long, and it gives you energy throughout the day."
She added that you should do each exercise for 30 seconds, complete one round and then go again.
