ARIES (Knight of Cups, King of Coins, Ten of Swords)

Shifts
13
Shifts

It’s time to drop the attitude! The Knight of Cups (your more immature, trying-to-impress, reckless side) is battling with an emerging, new identity, the King of Coins.

This new version of you is shrewd, considered, pragmatic, resilient and able to handle whatever life brings.

You have noticed a change in yourself recently: you don’t react as hot-headedly as you once did, and you don’t yearn to self-sabotage or go on hairbrained adventures.

This is all good news, you’re shedding your old Aries self, in return for a new “skin”, a better one in fact.

The Ten of Swords says that you’re ready now to complete this transformation, with a conscious release of your old, bad habits or self-limiting beliefs.

Acknowledge your personal development and growth, in fact why not celebrate it.

Ask others if they’ve noticed a shift in your demeanour, and you might be surprised at what you hear.

You are changing, for the better.

TAURUS (The Devil, Six of Swords, Six of Cups)

Release.
13
Release.

There’s something in your past which you cling to, at the detriment of your future, and it’s time to cut the cord, Taurus.

I know you loathe to let go of anything you once possessed, but this “thing” has become a dead weight and a dead end. It’s blocking your progress.

The Six of Cups shows this nostalgic link. Perhaps it’s an ex, or an old role, or a friendship that went sour.

Perhaps it’s even the memory or comparison of it, rather than a tangible bond.

The Devil shows that you nurse this bond, physical or mental, privately, and that it’s become a bad habit of yours to dwell on it, overthink it, and use it as a reason why you’re not addressing issues in your present.

You can’t magically make something real, no matter how hard you think on it.

This “thing” ended in your life for a reason.

The Six of Swords shows that, despite your attachment, you know, deep down, it’s time to let it go.

You are tired of the hoping and wishing, but not getting. You know this is a dead end.

The Six of Swords promises that acknowledging this and putting it all away will actually feel empowering and freeing.

Stop doing this to yourself.

GEMINI (Seven of Swords, Three of Cups, Ten of Cups)

Forbidden love.
13
Forbidden love.

Maybe unfairly, Geminis are often painted as the cheaters of the zodiac.

Their cold ways, clever charm, and leaning towards anything new and different DO make them contenders for a roving eye.

However, everyone, given the right circumstances, is capable of cheating, so let’s not hate on the Geminis!

The Three and Ten of Cups show that love is in the air this week, however, and the dangerous, illicit Seven of Swords reveals that it might be with the person you least expect!

Perhaps this is a potential affair you need to keep under wraps for a valid reason, perhaps it is something more underhand, perhaps it’s just a fleeting and passing fancy for someone you know you shouldn’t entertain.

You’re in charge, Gemini, and it’s up to you what you do. Love isn’t fair or straightforward or easy to resist, so I know this might prove tough to disentangle yourself from.

Think through the consequences, though, and maybe even scare yourself a little. If in doubt, don’t (well, try not to).

It might end up being more trouble than it’s worth!

CANCER (Knight of Coins, The Lovers, The Chariot)

Stability.
13
Stability.

Your innate and enduring need for security and stability pushes you into making a significant and important decision about your “place” in the world this week.

The Knight of Coins reflects your drive to make sure you’re safe, secure and cosy in life.

You need a “safety net”, materially and emotionally, and you don’t like the feeling of not being in control of your finances or whatever makes you feel safer in this life.

The Lovers shows this is a deep, emotional need, although you’ve been wrestling with it for some time, because you don’t really like change either.

In the end, though, your desire to feel secure will win over any doubts about making changes.

The Chariot shows this relates to your “place” in the world. By that I mean your location, home or prominent role.

The place you occupy in the world. Something about it has become uncomfortable or unstable, and you’re looking to address that.

It means you need to make a change, but you’re ready and willing to do it.

You’d rather bite the bullet and take control of this, than wait any longer to be “done to” by whatever might unfold.

LEO (Ace of Coins, The World, Four of Cups)

Evolution.
13
Evolution.

The Four of Cups reflects what a frustrating year you’ve had so far. Plans have stalled or hit a brick wall.

Ambitions were scuppered. Progress thwarted. Dreams interrupted. It’s tough being a Leo in limbo.

However, a new dawn is coming, and you may find the enforced hiatus has given you some new strengths: patience, persistence, and acceptance.

The Ace of Coins represents new beginnings (in the material world i.e. home, money, job, health), albeit ones that are more of an evolution than overnight transformation.

This is something that builds up over time, that you invest in steadily and, little by little, make consistent and lasting progress with.

For example, a training course, a savings scheme, an investment in a fledgling business, a major DIY project.

The World shows this will lead to massive success and prosperity, the ultimate achievement in your life so far. So, dream big, Leo.

Think about changes which will require time and effort to complete. Set your sights on a long-term goal. It all starts HERE and NOW.

VIRGO (Three of Swords, Page of Cups, Five of Swords)

Toxicity.
13
Toxicity.

The Three and Five of Swords are signals of relationship conflict and tension.

Perhaps you suspect someone isn’t being honest or well-intentioned with you, and you might be right, Virgo.

Not everyone is as wholesome or ethical as you are (or at least strive to be).

Don’t suppress or ignore what you’re seeing. If people want to show you their true nature, then go ahead and SEE it straight on.

Act on what you now know. Protect yourself, withdraw from the action, move on to something else, disengage from any conflict.

Surgically remove whatever is hurting you from your life.

The Page of Cups shows the antidote for this toxicity: simple, fun pleasures with those you love, like and trust.

You are super-popular (maybe this has been the trigger for jealousy) and have got plenty of people you can call on to enjoy life with.

Immerse yourself with the “good eggs” and ditch the bad ones, you simply don’t need that kind of negativity around you.

Leave them to their own devices.

LIBRA (The Emperor, Four of Swords, Ace of Coins)

Brief them.
13
Brief them.

I think if you make yourself really crystal-clear this week, you can sit back and let others help carry the load for you.

The Emperor shows you need to take control and set down what’s important, what has to happen, by when, and why.

Know your objectives, and express them.

The Ace of Coins reveals this will activate a new team-working spirit with those close to you, as people finally recognise what you need from them, and decide to give it to you.

Why wouldn’t they? You’re loved and liked, but perhaps you’re not always straightforward (or even resolved in your own mind) regarding what you need from others.

Once this has all been “briefed” you’ll be pleased to hear that you can sit back and relax!

When you’ve got people on side, you don’t have to do everything, they can carry some of the tasks and do them on your behalf.

You are leading, not doing all the doing. Enjoy it, you deserve this little kickback.

SCORPIO (Page of Wands, King of Coins, Eight of Wands)

Look ahead.
13
Look ahead.

News on the job, career, financial or property front could be very welcome and very useful in the week ahead, so keep your ear to the ground.

The Eight and Page of Wands are both very news-y kind of cards, representing sources, information, insights, invitations and opportunities. Make sure your communication channels are all open and flowing, because there could be a real flurry of “noise”.

Be ready to respond fast, too, because some of this will be fleeting or temporary, and you might miss the boat if you don’t react quickly.

The King of Coins links this all to the material world- work, money, property, assets, health.

And Kings are leaders, winners, and go-getters, so this all heralds successful enterprises and positive news that helps you get ahead and get to where you want to be. Look out for new news!

SAGITTARIUS (Five of Swords, Queen of Coins, Two of Swords)

Withdraw.
13
Withdraw.

You’re stuck in a revolving door kind of experience with someone. They keep doing wrong to you, as shown by the irritating Five of Swords, and then they ask forgiveness.

You agree to move on and then, lo and behold, they do it all over again. It keeps smacking you in the face, and you don’t deserve it.

The Two of Swords shows that enough is enough, and you need to make some tough choices here about how much you’re willing to expose yourself to this ongoing behaviour.

If it won’t change, then perhaps you should change. Once bitten, twice shy.

The Queen of Coins tells you to take the “high road”, but also to protect your own best interests, because this other person is not.

Withdraw from the relationship, put up the shutters, but don’t escalate this to a row or engage in conflict. Just fade from view.

They will get the message and, surprisingly, simply take their ridiculousness elsewhere.

You don’t need this in your life, and you don’t have to put up with it either. Take a stand.

CAPRICORN (Page of Coins, Four of Wands, The Fool)

Study.
13
Study.

Education, education, education. That is the key to success for you right now, and it’s something, new, inspiring and enjoyable (so don’t groan at the idea).

The Page of Coins is the tarot’s “student card”, and hints you’re going to embark on learning something new, be that via formal classes or just reading at home.

The Four of Wands links this to your career, and, even better, foretells that it will lead to more achievement, success and money.

Something really good starts here, and it starts with following a passion or an interest, and learning a lot more about it.

You don’t need to figure out exactly HOW it links to your job now, or how to monetise it.

Simply follow an interest, and the pathway to success will naturally unfold.

The Fool reinforces that this is something new and inspiring. The Fool is the tarot’s first card, and patron saint of new beginnings.

Whatever other people say, you do you. If a subject sparks your interest, then this is where you should be concentrating.

Get out your books. It’s a new term!

AQUARIUS (The Magician, Knight of Swords, Death)

Assert yourself.
13
Assert yourself.

Bold cards this week, Aquarius, which signal you’re on a path of transformation and renewal.

The Magician is all about activating your unique skills, strengths and talents.

Recognising what you’re good at and using it to create a living, to make something, to earn through your own labour.

Death is about total transformation, so this pathway will be different to what you’re doing right now.

And it will lead to changes across your wider lifestyle too. Crumbs, what is it?

What are you good at? What do you just love doing? Figure it out, because we have a window of opportunity here to make it happen in your life.

The Knight of Swords shows you need to charge ahead and MAKE this happen, force this change.

It’s not going to land in your lap, no one is going to gift it to you. This comes from your own blood, sweat and tears.

You might even need to push quite hard to make a space for yourself, and compete with others to get a place at the table.

That’s OK though, you’re tough and assertive when you need to be. And you need to be right now.

PISCES (Ace of Swords, Knight of Coins, Three of Coins)

Honesty.
13
Honesty.

Someone will think all the better of you if you’re honest and tell them the truth.

The Knight of Coins reveals your hesitancy to do this, fearing it will damage the relationship or make them think poorly of you.

Don’t worry, Pisces, because they know you’re not malicious and that you only ever want everyone to do well.

The Three of Coins shows that your ultimate honesty will actually create a new respect and trust in you.

No one wants to bear bad news or say something contentious, but sometimes you have to express what’s really going on, what you feel about it, and what you’d like to change.

The Ace of Swords hints that, initially, as you suspect, your words might create some tension or even anger.

It will subside, so don’t react to it. Afterwards, your words will land home, and be absorbed, and trigger a different reaction.

One of understanding and gratefulness for your empathetic approach. Be calm, kind and direct.

This will pass by quickly, soon be resolved, and be a big weight off your chest.
