Charlotte and George’s school Covid-19 restrictions revealed & ‘Kate and William are only parents allowed inside gates’
LIKE countless children across the country, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have spent the past six months being homeschooled by their parents.
But last week, Kate Middleton and Prince William's two eldest children returned to St Thomas's Preparatory School in Battersea for the new school year.
Writing for , royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed how Charlotte and George's school has put new rules in place to stop the spread of coronavirus - including suspending swimming lessons.
The expert said: "William and Kate have been homeschooling their children since March, but they returned for the first day of term on Monday [7 September].
"While Kensington Palace did not release any images of the children’s first day back, George who has moved into Year 3 and Charlotte who is in Year 1 are said to be thrilled to be back at school with their friends, even though some activities such as swimming have been suspended."
What's more, the school has reportedly asked parents to drop the children outside the school gates - however, the Duke and Duchess are allegedly still allowed to drive the children onto the premises.
The expert added: "According to one parent, the school has installed numerous COVID prevention measures and parents now have to drop children at the school gates.
"The Cambridges, however, are still able to drive their children into the school grounds."
Earlier this month, Prince William joked that it had been a "long five months" of home-schooling the kids.
He said: "I think every parent is breathing a sigh of relief that school has started again. Five months – it’s been wonderful, but it’s been a long five months."
