Disgusted ASOS shoppers claim they’re sent WORN items in the post, from stained tops to dresses ‘stinking of perfume’
ASOS shoppers who claim to have received 'worn,' 'scuffed' and 'dirty' goods in the post have shared shocking images of clothes and shoes alleged to have come from the online shopping giant.
Some shoppers even claimed to have received clothes smelling of deodorant or perfume.
The allegations were made on Twitter, where dozens of angry customers have tweeted at the brand asking for an explanation.
Upon ordering two dresses from the online fashion retailer, one woman was horrified to receive 'obviously worn' items, which she claims smelled of perfume.
One picture clearly shows a liquid stain on the dress's lining.
She tweeted: "Are you seriously allowing girls to quite obviously wear dresses/destroy them and still get a refund and then send it onto the next poor sod!? It equally stinks of perfume. Absolutely baffled!"
A separate complaint came from a man who ordered sandals for his girlfriend which he says were 'filthy' and 'broken'.
He shared a snap of shoes with clearly dirty soles, which he claims were sent by ASOS.
"Ordered some sandals for my girlfriend," he wrote. "Both shoes are broke and they are filthy so obviously been worn."
Several other disgruntled shoppers claimed to have received pre-worn shoes from ASOS.
One woman shared a photo of her 'new' boots, writing: "My new shoes arrived but they’ve clearly been worn?! They’re covered in sand....?"
Another claimed to find animal hair stuck in the soles of her trainers.
She wrote: "Umm so I ordered @adidas Stan Smiths from @ASOS, FULL price, they’ve just arrived anddd...they’re used??? What the actual hell @ASOS_HeretoHelp??"
"The shoes are covered in (what I hope to god is) dog hair. The tag was even cut off. Absolutely gross."
Worst of all, one woman said she was was disgusted to discover a used cotton bud in her shoebox.
"I just bought a pair of sandals from you and when I've opened them today there is a DIRTY COTTON BUD inside the bag in the shoebox!" the shopper wrote.
"I'm honestly disgusted right now - how is your orders hygiene this bad especially during COVID-19. Please help."
An American shopper claimed to find reciepts and a used disposable face mask in the pocket of his ASOS shirt.
And he wasn't the only one - other customers claim to have found face masks in their packages, either in pockets or loose in the parcel.
Fabulous has contacted ASOS for comment.
