Woman who divorced cheating husband and redecorated their marital home shows off impressive results of her hard work

A WOMAN who divorced her cheating husband but didn't want to give up her marital home has given the space a total makeover, turning the house into a chic sanctuary for herself and her two sons.

After discovering her hubby was having an affair, Amy Robinson wasn't ready to give up the formal couple's marital home - so she gave it a top-to-bottom makeover instead.

Amy gave the house a total revamp over a period of 18 months, fitting a brand new kitchen and giving her bedroom a girly makeover.

The mum-of-two shared pictures of her stunning home makeover on Facebook and has been inundated with support from others.

Writing on the Facebook group , Amy revealed how heartbreak led to complete her dream home makeover.

She said: "After my husband left 18 months ago due to an affair I bought him out, divorced his cheating arse and wanted to make the house my own.

"I have changed every room and I love it. Onwards and upwards happiest I have been in a long time 😀😀";

Speaking to Fabulous, Amy said: "The house was ok but reminded me too much of what i had with my ex, I wanted to change it all. A new start in my home.

"I really wanted to change the bedroom at first for obvious reasons. But by far the biggest change I wanted to make was the kitchen.

"It was very old, doors falling off and just wanted it fresher and to put my stamp on it. That was the last room I did."

Amy revealed she found inspiration online and did most of the decorating herself.
"I follow a few pages on Facebook and got my inspiration from them," she said.

"I did most of it myself, especially the painting, but I also hired help for some of it.

"Before it wasn't as girly as it is now."

After sharing snaps of her gorgeous home online, Amy has been inundated with comments from well wishers.

"Huge respect," one woman gushed. "Wishing you much happiness. You should feel so very proud of yourself, what an inspiration!"

Another said: ";You stong talented beautiful woman carry on doing what your doing hunny sometimes doing the right thing is always the hardest onward and upwards."

A third chimed in: "Congratulations on getting rid of cheating man. And oh my word, be so very proud of your achievements on the house, you have done an amazing job."
