Mum upcycles her daughter’s toy Ikea kitchen with a lick of paint to match her immaculate home & it looks unrecognisable

A CRAFTY mum upcycled a bland toy kitchen from Ikea using a lick of paint - and it looks unrecognisable.
Sophie Need decided to treat her little girl to an on-trend kitchen for her birthday, but wanted to create something unique.
She picked up the toy from the Swedish furniture store, which featured a tap, an oven, a microwave and a cupboard in a run-of-the-mill wood and white colour scheme.
Sophie then used some leftover paint from Farrow and Ball, in shade drainpipe, to give it a chic grey look.
The finishing touch was spray painting the handles and fixtures gold, using a can she borrowed from her mother-in-law.
The project cost her next to nothing, and the result is a stylish and one of a kind kitchen - which matches her own sleek decor.
Sophie shared a snap of her mini-makeover to Facebook group , saying: “My daughters Ikea kitchen upcycle.”
She told Fabulous Digital that she’d planned on revamping it from the start saying: “I bought it specifically to do as a make over, it was for my daughters first birthday and wanted to gift her thoughtful present.
“It was always intended to be a labour of love.”
She added her little girl “loves it”.
Hundreds of people have commented on the project, praising Sophie’s skills.
One person said: “Looks great!!!.”
Another wrote: “Looks good.”
While a third suggested: “If you put a motion sensor light in the oven it will turn on if she puts something in the oven.”
